Description

(YOU WILL NEED THE BAS TONAL MOD INSTALLED TO MAKE THIS WORK. You can find it on the Operation Flashpoint Filefront site. NOTE, WE HAVE -ASKED FOR AND OBTAINED PERMISSION TO UTILIZE BAS FOR THE AFRICAN CAMPAIGN-. Any comments such as "You stole BAS!!!!!!" will be considered irrelevant and deleted.) A set of three Alpha missions we've made for the start of the African campaign. In this download are : Alpha Mission Intro, Alpha Mission End (Loss), Alpha Mission : Note, this IS ALPHA. This is NOT the final mission, and any bugs/complaints encountered WILL BE FIXED. Currently, there is no campaign set up, so you must play these separately via the missions menu. The main mission includes so end trigger, so simply exit once you eliminate the guards. To install, place the files in your Missions folder. Post any complaints, suggestions, and bug reports here. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS AN ALPHA VERSION, NOT THE FINAL PRODUCT. Hope you enjoy the mission, -Red Dawn Mod Team

For BAS - it has its own read-me, use that.

For my mod - place all the files in the .rar in your missions folder. For me, it's "Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\Missions\".

It was a very nice mission, there was no major bugs I could see with the mission, it was just when i got near the rebels, the trigger went off saying "we're under attack!" and none of the rebels reacted, they just continued their patrol or standing still lol. And there was 1 other thing, but that has to do with the island itself. I turned a corner and saw few rebels sitting there, i fired at them and the bullets hit an invisible wall lol. Eventually they walked towards me out of through the invisible wall. All in all, very nice :D

Indeed, a current problem is I seem to have set the trigger range too wide. The player is expected to kill the patrol then reach it, but as-is, due to both distance and the night environment, the AI can't see the player. This will be fixed though.
