Thanks! The only way to use a controller is by mapping it as if it were a keyboard. There are online pages that can do that.

No, it's a mod for the PC version of the game, so I don't think there's a way to make it world on a vita (as far as I know).

when you go upstairs (where there is fire) BEFORE continuing the road where there is Rita, take the lockpick is the base of the key of flowers, and come down, because the key is missing, going down the stairs happens the moment where Rita closes the door to enter the downstairs, but the scene starts when Hunk is still descending the first steps, and, since the cutscene starts, he has yet to go down the second staircase, the character starts running automatically, without being able go down the second ladder, and then the game freezes, pleeease fix this, let the player finish the action

5. The first time you play the game a window will appear asking you
whether or not to use ffdshow. You must select "Always use ffdshow."

I never saw that pop up any time i've installed Mortal Night, weird.

I've tried it in Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10, and it has always appeared. Perhaps you selected "no, and never show this message again" with some older version of the mod.

You have to configure the game. Read the instructions. Old games need some time to get configured in modern PCs.

Buenas, te queria comentar que la demo de la definitive edition no me era posible jugarla por bugs visuales incluso aunque probara a poner en compatibilidad 95/98/xp/7 pero poniendo en compatibilidad windows 2000 si que he podido jugar sin problemas de bugs gráficos. Si lo lees actualizalo en tu pagina principal. Un saludo y enorme trabajo el que estas haciendo.

Is there a way to fix graphic glitches? Like my weapons are all glitched and some zombies are see through. I set it to Windows 95 compatibility. I'm using Windows 7. I don't know what else I would need to change. I never got a pop up either. I'm using the 16bit version because the regular is totally glitched out.

You have to select a different devide setup in Settings and to try out other compatibility modes (Windows 2000, XP, etc). The normal .exe files shouldn't give you problems if you have Windows 7, so if you get the 16bit ones working properly, try again with the normal ones. In some PCs it may not get fixed, and it is due to the graphic card (too modern for such an old game).

I think I found another soft lock (It happened on Albert_fn_Wesker's stream too): If you craft the keys in a certain order, leaving diamond for last and crafting the heart one first, the game soft locks because there's no way to get the final half inside the 'magic mirror room', and you don't have the cog either (since you never get to open the 'diamond corridor' to use the spade key) making it impossible to progress.

Also another 'minor' soft lock, though I think this one is intentional: Statues. If you set the grey statue before the other one, you can't push the other one away from the wall, and the silver one won't reset, making it impossible to get the red jewel.

Other than that, awesome mod! I've beaten it a few times and quite enjoyed some of the surprises in hell mode even if I didn't beat that mode yet.

Oh, I hadn't noticed the first soft lock. Thanks for reporting! I'll make the small key appear somewhere else if the player has created the heart key.

The statues' one does reset, but you have to re-enter the room twice. I'll make it reset properly in the next update.

Oh fair enough. I was dumb enough to set the first statue and when I left and entered again I just stared at it 'oops' didn't even think about entering again. But yeah, glad to help! It *almost* happened to me but when it happened to Wesker I kept watching to see if maybe the small key would appear somewhere else but yeah, no such luck. Either way, amazing mod keep it coming!

I'm trying to use xpadder to map the dpad but everytime I do the game keeps pretending my dpad isn't there and opts to just use the analogue on my controller for movement :(
any fix for this?
I use an xinput controller btw

If you have already mapped the dpad with the arrow keys of the keyboard, I don't really know. You'll simply have to get used to it, because I can't make any kind of patch for that.

I'm having another strange problem: after watching one of Wesker's streams I saw you comment about that secret with the unicorn medal. Since I wanted to experience it myself without spoilers I did it, but as soon as the door loading screen appears the game crashes and I get this error message:

Unable to find file
pl0/pld/pl08w02.plw.

I have the latest version of the mod as far as I know (The updated Episode 1 Definitive Edition)

I want to thank the developers for this amazing mod! I must also report a problem: my game always crashes to desktop when opening the door at the end of the corridor with the statues to be pushed... I can't progress in the game, anyone with the same issue?

Thanks for the patch my friend! It fixed the problem with the unicorn secret for me. However while replaying I found another "hard to get but still possible" soft lock, or at least it seems like it:

If one unlocks everything they can without unlocking the door to Alyssa, you can run out of lockpicks and then be unable to get the valve and progress.

No, you can leave Alyssa's cutscene for the end and still complete the game. There are enough lockpicks throughout the game to unlock every single lock. You can watch the playthrough in my YouTube channel.

Oh I see! I must have missed a very sneaky lockpick somewhere. And I searched really hard. I'll try to look around some more or watch the playthrough if I can't. Thanks for answering anyways! This mod is truly something, the attention to detail is amazing. Really loved that special touch of realism with the USS zombies.

Are you sure? You see, I watched most of it and I didn't see you pick up a lockpick I wasn't aware of. The problem here is that if you unlock Rita's 'gotcha' door, you naturally have one less lockpick (because otherwise it's Alyssa that unlocks that door, but you still need to unlock Alyssa's door regardless if you unlocked Rita's) so basically unless you can end the scenario with one extra lockpick normally (Or that extra lockpick only appears if you unlock Rita's door), you would have one lockpick missing, which then if you leave Alyssa's door for last, you're screwed.

Unless I somehow managed to to miss that extra lockpick in your video, I'm pretty sure it's possible to get that soft lock (albeit it's reaaaally rare, probably harder to get than the 'heart key before diamond key' one. I'll watch the whole video one more time later to be sure. Also just beat Hell Mode. Pretty fun and less painful than I thought.

Akumu though...why? Just why? T-T A think an Akumu mode with the "Normal" difficulty pickups/ammo would be a bit more fair than having the "Hell Mode" pickups. But hey at least you made sure to warn us that difficulty wasn't suitable for everyone :)

It's easy to verify this soft lock if you answer this: Did you make a 'radiant' lockpick that only appears if you unlock Rita's lock? If NO, then is possible to end the scenario with everything unlocked (RPD safe & armory locker), Alyssa rescued (without the player unlocking Rita's door themselves) and have 1 lockpick remain? If NO than the soft lock is possible for sure.

Reminder that it's not a 'glitch' it's just the player being unable to progress due to a few 'dumb choices'.

No, that has to do with the .exe files and the graphic config. If you are using Windows 10, you have to use the 16bit .exe files with Win95/2000 compatibility enabled, although the later isn't always necessary.

Friend! Just a little something to help clear confusions: It seems people are understanding the "32 variations" bit as 32 different Endings. Will chapter 3 really have 32 different "endings" or are those variations things like if you do X thing (like pick up some ammo outside) Y thing happens (like that dog in the bus) ?

If it's the second option, you might want to add/change something to explain it better, sort of like I did. Maybe put it like: "And remember: there are 32 variations (items, enemies and events change location/etc) depending on your choices and the order in which you visit the police station areas!"

Just saying it because I read/heard a lot of people get that confusion...so this could clear it up and make it so people don't think you're lying or something.
