Description
The demo "Calm Before the Storm" is the prologue of DTS. It takes place before the T-Virus outbreak starts in the town of Raccoon City. This is a Work In Progress build, and these contents will be improved for the final version. The demo has about 1 hour of content in total, with some hidden content included. Your choices will drastically change your experience, since you will get exclusive cutscenes and combats.

Loads the sourcenext RE2 game just fine but the mod will not load the game. Just sits hanging. I think the 7z files are corrupted because when I attempt to open them with winrar or 7zip it says they are corrupted or damaged.

I am having the same issue but redownloading didn't help at all.
Maybe try updating your winrar program.
old version will show errors when opening archives made with latest archivers.
I have done everything the installation file said and it will not open the game after choosing During The Storm, it says the game is booted but nothing happens!

I'm sorry! If you downloaded the very first version that was uploaded, it seems ModDB broke it. It should work perfectly if you try redownloading it now.

It seems to work for everyone else right now. The only problem was that it loaded assets very slowly. If that's not your case, then it has to be due to the lack of a copy of RE2 Sourcenext, files being in a wrong folder, or something related to Windows permissions. You can also try and set the .exe to Windows 95 compatibility, just in case.

Well, you need to install a copy of RE2 Sourcenext in your computer yo play the mod. Then extract the contents of my mod with WinRAR, and follow the instructions inside.
Hi I've downloaded and did everything it says on the read me, but when the main menu of the mod apears I'm not able to use the keyboard, it only happens in this mod. I've tried in the original game and it worked, can you help me?
You have to set the controls to "raw input" in the configuration menu.
Edit: it seems "direct input" is the right set up.
I did, everytime I insert the "dll" in re2 1.1.0 my keyboard is disabled (I'm using windows 10)
I have the same issue - when i start the game - i can´t use keyboard in the menu ....:(
I think you can try using "direct input" instead. I think it changes depending on your peripherals, as it happened to me in the past.

Thanks for this wonderful mod, I enjoy it very much. It' rather short, but it's a demo anyhow. When will the full game be out for public download? I hope it won't be long.
It's just the intro of the game! And it has 4 different paths depending on choices, and some hidden content. It's longer than most demos ;). I'm glad you liked it.
Unfortunately the release is very far away. This mod is rather big, and on top of that, really complex, with a lot of branching paths.

Hello from where did I get the Resident Evil 2 SourceNext game files I would not have it,
I am new to RE mods, so bare with me. I currently have the source next version of the game, and I need some help with the installation. Its currently not working for me.
So first off I do already have the newest version of classic rebirth installed. Do I need to use the specific one provided if i already have "bio2 1.10" .exe file and "ddraw.dll" before i even downloaded this?
I cut and pasted the 2 Zip files into the very specific "Biohazard Source Next" Folder, as instructed and nothing happens. Please let me know if there is anything I need to know. I was kind of wondering if i needed to remove my old patch folder, or replace any of the old files.

If you know how to use Classic REbirth and it doesn't detect my mod, you should try using the version provided in the download. Just remember to move the 7z files outside of the folder while you configure it, and then you can put them back. Windows 95 compatibility for the .exe also seems to solve a lot of issues for some people.

I start it without any problem but when i begin the game in the house, Kevin is walking in the circle aroud without any clicking on joystick or keyboard...has somebody same issue?
You should probably change the controller configuration to "Direct input", which will at least work for your keyboard. Maybe your controller is not compatible with the Classic REbirth patch (I didn't make it, so I don't know about the details).

That sounds like you placed the mod files in a wrong path, so the game crashes once it tries to load files that aren't modified. If everything is in the right place, you can also try setting the Bio2 1.10 exe to Windows 95 compatibility.

Hi, i'm a different user, but i have the same problem. I start at Kevin's apartment and after a while, the game closes. I do however have the Origin Of Species/Overhaul mod installed. How do i remove it if that's the problem?
I guess you just need to uninstall the original game and then reinstall it. The Sourcenext CD should have an uninstall option. It solved the problem to a few users.
Im getting the error message Found An Invalid Installation key every time i try to start up the game. I did everything on the instruction told me to do and still getting that message
If you have RE2 Sourcenext and everything is correct, you should try setting the .exe to Windows 95 compatibility mode. It seems to solve that issue for some people.
Ok so i reinstall the game and it pops up "Couldn't detect registry or ini settings. Default setting will now be loaded. Please Set A Valid Installation key
ok i have another problem...the game works but kevin just keeps on doing 360 turns. i have used different controllers and still he keeps on turning 360...what can i do?
I'm not sure, since controller support was developed by the creator of the Classic REbirth patch, but I think it's only compatible with modern and official controllers (PS3-PS4 and Xbox 360-Xbox One). If you can't find a solution, the best choice would be setting it to "direct input" and playing the game with your keyboard.
