Any chance on updating SSS to v19? The changes its made seem pretty substantial vs 18.1
I cant seem to progress pass the start, after finding the first artefact and handing it in, I am told to go and find who has been hurt.
The helicopter remains in the air and there is no one to find.
I have restarted several times but it is always the same thing, any help would be appreciated - Cheers.

I have a bug/glitch where artefacts from my inventory dissapear upon loading a new save*
Is there a way to be able to play it on dx10-dx9 istead of dx11 the game is great looks amazing but constant fps drops are quite annoing yes my PC stats are **** but being able to play it on dx9 would be much better experience for me.

I wasn't happy with the performance on my aging 1080ti so went through every setting to get better results. So this may help some:
MSAA: Disable it. Big impact on performance and it doesn't look much better. Most games look much better with MSAA x 4 like Battlefield 4 but here it's minimal, not sure why. I guess Stalker isn't that aliased to begin with compared with games of that time.
Shadow Map Resolution: Drop to at least 2560x2560, massive impact on performance and I couldn't really tell the difference with the shadows. But do test it yourself to see if it bothers you or not.
My FPS doubled after this and had plenty of GPU power left for the optional reshade settings.

These tips work really well.
Stashes and body inventories do not populate when transitioning to a new level. You have to restart the game to populate the level loot. This bug started after awhile of play. (same thing with map placed bodies.) Going back and forth from levels restarts the bug again. A new game doesn't immediately have this issue so maybe some weird save flag? idk.
X-18 has strange culling zones where bodies can vanish and reappear in the same room.

The russian translation included with 1.16 should work. Otherwise post the crash log that you get.
There is no glitch, it's just that all the dialogs and prompts remain in English
It does work. All you have to do is overwrite the gamedata folder with the one inside the folder with the translation.

There's nothing you can do. The technician has been removed from the game. You still need this access to talk to Mom/Mamai though.
Hey there! Wanted to report two crashes I found some time ago. First, I had a reproducible crash to desktop when entering a level transition while having a detector in hand. Second, I got CTDs when transferring ammo between a stash and the inv, sometimes after transferring and then reloading a gun with the inv open. Unfortunately out of a lack of time I wasnt able to try the latest parch 1.16 yet so can't tell if it has been fixed already. Got logs of both I think.
fresh install, files in the right location. game no longer launches. just pops up with the little prescreen and then closes. doesnt even throw out a crashlog.
does FSGame.LTX need to be edited in any way?
and/or does this not work with the steam version?
EDIT: im an idiot lmao, this is a patch for the 14gb standalone mod, not a mod for SOC
EDIT2: once the actual game was downloaded, patch worked perfectly, no real issues so far outside of being super ******* loud and the menu music not being tied to music volume lvl, 0.1 for both sfx and music and the menu is still like 5x louder
Howdy, love the mod, however I've discovered that the parallax on terrain option seems to revert every time I load my saved game. I check it, restart the game, check that it's on in the menu, but as soon as I load my save, it's unchecked.
I apologize if I missed something, I read through the changelog above, as it seemed to be working before installing the patch and thought it might've been disabled purposefully, but I didn't see anything.
Hi guys. 1.16 fixed a lot of problems, most of them, but I still seem to get a crash when I attach a suppressor to the FN Five Seven. Also I would like to add that some of the remmington m700 rifles have a NV extension on the scope which I cant get to work in any way and also that the description says it supports add-on NV which I don't know if its actually a thing or im missing something.
