Now we get another new barrel type, more Melee Zombies, a new Hell Knight attack, PBR effects for black barrels and ten new HD textures.
I finally had to split Rabid's Crap into two files! Those HD textures use a ton of space, but I think it's worth it to curate every little thing that goes in here. I've moved the entire HiRes folder into the new file so at least you now have the option to play without anything in it. You could even delete it to save on space, though it's much better with those graphics in play. If you use it, load it second.
That being said--there are 10 new HD textures from Hoover1979's pack.
There's a new yellow barrel that replaces the Brutal Doom remap's potted plants. It's out of Psychophobia by 0xCobalt. This one doesn't explode in the traditional way. It blows apart and leaves a damaging fire behind that goes out after less than a minute. It hurts monsters and it hurts you.
There are more Melee Zombies, as I've taken everywhere in the remap where there would have been Labguys and placed them there.
The Hell Knight has a new long-range attack straight out of Hideous Destructor! If you're far enough away, he'll spew a spread of plasma balls at you instead of throwing one. I don't like when monsters are just stronger or weaker carbon copies of each other, so I'm trying to make them special. It doesn't do much to change the infighting hierarchy, but maybe one day...anyway, Hideous Destructor is by someone going simply by "Matt".
Last and probably least, the new black barrels from the remap have some PBR effects. It's barely noticeable, but sometimes that's how they work.
We are seeing and will continue to see variables added to the game to make it more haywire. Please note that I do not obsess over "balance"; if I think it's cool, I throw it in. I try to be fair, but not so hard that I don't let relative randomness determine some of it, just to keep it fun and unpredictable.
