Hi, first of all, thanks for the hard work for making this mod.

It looks great with nice textures !
But i have a small problem with resolution, which i cant get to work.

I have a 1920x1080p monitor, but everytime i set it to 1920x1080 in the menu in Q4, i have to restart quake .. and it sets it back to 1280x720 ..

I tried also to put it in the config files, but no luck ..

I really want to play Q4 with ur mod, but then at 1920x1080 .. Do you have any suggestion ?

try taking the seta r_mode "15" out of the auto.exec.cfg in q4base

Do you have any suggestion ?" --- Ditto, same here. Every time I start Q4 it is stuck in 640x480 after I installed q4hd. It was appropriate 1920x1080 prior to installation of the mod. I will have to uninstall it to play quake in a proper resolution. I also tried those .cfg changes and they did not work for me either. Bummer.

my autoexec file doesnt have it on -15 ? .. maybe i f**d up my autoexec file (also the original one from the mod) this is how my file looks like:

Sometimes it stays at 1920x1080 in the menu, but still when im ingame and look at my crosshair, or zoom in .. its not a cirkle .. so that means the aspect ratio is incorrect (right?) .. i really dont understand. Does it have something to do with steam ?

im going to try to put in the quake config now as you mentioned

mine is not steam so IDK about that, I have noticed mine being wonky with certain settings like AA

Great work, Quake 4 looks great with this mod.
I really like the new textures.

But i have two issues when using this mod:

1) On the level Construction Zone (level where you drive a mech), for some reason there are no ground textures showing except for metallic textures like buildings, building interiors and walkways (you can see through the ground). Only at the start and at the end of the level you can see ground textures.

2) When you get hit with weapons like a railgun, hyperblaster and etc... or when enemies melee/shock you (basically when the camera should shake and show a double vision like effect), it shows white flashes or a full white screen for some reason.

Had to uninstall, the white flashing square that blacks out the middle everytime you took damage drove me nuts.

Same here.. awesome mod and love re-living this game, but the flashing square in the middle when you take damage is actually starting to give me a headache :(

I had the same issues with the level Construction Zone as you and everyone else here. I was able to solve the issue by opening up 'zzzhidef q4models2.pk4' with 7zip, then navigated to 'models\mapobjects\strogg\walker\terrain\'. Within that folder, I deleted these files:
harvester_area.lwo
*section_a_mainfloor_crash.lwo
section_a_mountfield.lwo
section_b_postcanmount.lwo
section_b_precanyon.lwo
section_c_canyonside.lwo
After I deleted those above files, it appears to have fixed the issues with the level Construction Zone.

*Note: section_a_mainfloor_crash.lwo may actually be fine. I plan to test that in the future.

Confirmed this fixes the missing texture issue. Deleting section_a_mainfloor_crash.lwo is not necessary.

the pistol fires a lot slower after i instaled the mod, it should fire everytime i press the leftclick mouse button no matter how fast i do it but now its realy slow

The pistol and shotgun have a much lower rate of fire for me as well. No idea why, but I have narrowed it down to "zzzhidef q4maps etc.pk4" as being the culprit file that messes with how weapons work.

I have noticed that using the the lines from Pcgamingwiki.com that if you use the console with vid_restart after a resolution change and then quit the game and start it again the resolution tends to stick.

Using the lines from the included autoexec.cfg however it sticks BUT it doesnt show in the ingame settings that it does which is what confuses some people. The fact that with the one set of lines it shows in the settings but in the other it doesnt (even though it works) means that something in your included lines confuses the game itself.

Can someone please help? I got this mod installed and it looks brilliant! But. It turns the Vsync off in the game, and any settings I change do not save. I know I can turn the vsync on in the Nvidia settings, but any other settings (multi core, antaliasing) don't save at all. Are there lines in the config file I can change manually? I can't seem to find them. Thanks.

I'm trying to get this to run, but it doesn't appear to be working. I have everything extracted to q4base, but am I supposed to *unpack* all the pk4 files into it? Or... change an executable, or something? There are no instructions, and it just doesn't seem to work.
