For people who like setting up the game manually, or when playing on something other than Windows.
* What is this? *
This is a set of mod files for QC:DE v3.0. This mod version requires Q-Zandronum 1.4.10 or above, it will not work on any other engine.
* What is Q-Zandronum? *
Q-Zandronum is a fork off Zandronum 3.0 with additional features, fixes and improvements.
Main Features
- Quake Movement: The engine has Quake style movement that modders can turn "on" for their projects, along with CPM and standard Doom movement. Different movement styles for different experiences no longer bound to following only Doom-movement rules. All this means, is circle-jumping, strafe-jumping. CPM and proper crouchslide, it's all here baby!
- Improved netcode and spectating experience: Who doesn't love to have a killcam when spectating PvP matches? Better client-server prediction and general netcode improvements. It may not be perfect (yet) but any improvement is better than no improvement!
- Bugfixes and additions compared to Zandronum 3.0: FOV that you can configure and doesn't reset constantly? YES PLS!
* What's in this package? *
This package contains the following:
- QCDEv3.0_beta_23: Main "Quake Champions Doom Edition" package
- QCDEmaps3.0_beta_23: Deathmatch mapset custom made for QCDE, beta version with two new maps and many fixes
- QCDEmus3.0_beta_2: Original soundtrack of QCDE
- QCDE--HDFaces3.0_beta_9: High definition, hand drawn champion portraits
- QCDE--Voxels3.0_beta_20: Replaces pickup sprites for voxels in-game
- QCDE_PvPvisibility: Optional addon that tones down visual effects. Useful for PvP
- QCDE_UT_Weapons_v3.0_beta_23: Optional addon that replaces Quake weapons with ones from Unreal Tournament series
- QCDE_UT_Weapons_v3.0_Hires_beta_20: Optional addon for HD Unreal Tournament sprites
- QCDE_UT_Weapons_v3.0_Voxels_beta_20: Replaces Unreal Tournament pickup sprites with voxels
- QCDE_AllUTMov_v3.0_beta_20: Changes all champions movement to Unreal Tournament-like one
- QCDEmus_ut_v3.0_beta_2: Replaces QC:DE soundtrack with music from Unreal Tournament series
- UTAnnouncer_0.9: Alternative announcer voice, using sounds from Unreal Tournament series
Wish we had a linux version for Steam Deck users. Can't get QZ to run due to undeclared library dependencies (use AppImage you tools!)
I got the windows Installer to work on artix by using wine. granted it was on a thinkpad X200, so I didn't get the best performance, but it would probably play better on newer hardware.
Is there an order I have to put the PK3s in? Because I am using ZDL to run my mods
Open the server browser and use the load order from some server
Ok Clearly I am doing something wrong here, Fresh install of Q-Zan 1.4.2, Select the files, Drag to the exe, Select Doom 2 and Just errors out the ***.

File order matters, in your case the UT weapons addon gets loaded before main qcde and it all fails.
I recommend using Doomseeker or ZDL to simplify the process.
Or just use the Installer version, it handles it all for you: Moddb.com
Is there a possibility for V1 From Ultrakill to be included in the roster along with two exorcists John Ward & Father Garcia as well?
Is there a way to remove the custom weapons? I prefer just the enemies..
The weapons are a part of main mod, that's required for proper behavior in multiplayer
Using the gzdoom launch command in the desktop launcher for Mint what is the order for the mod files after -file?
You cannot launch this mod on GZDoom, it only works on Q-Zandronum. The file order is like this:
singleplayer mappack (if any)
QCDEv3.0
QCDEmaps3.0
rest of the files in any order
If using UT weapons, make sure to load weapons before other UT addons. Also make sure to use UT voxels addon instead of default voxels addon.
One question, the mod will be in delta touch
Delta Touch developer has to add support to Q-Zandronum engine
