The weapon pack isn't based on the hi res pack from Tastyspleen is it? I remember some of them weren't very faithful to the original designs.
I have a question. How can I use this mod to run the official task packages ground zero and recekoning which are sold on steam?
When I install the above two official task packages on the steam platform, I can't find the newly added Pak file in the q2base folder corresponding to the original version. That is to say, after installing the two task packages, the Pak file is the same size as the previous one, I can't find where the newly added task file is, so I can't move the newly added qak file to run in mod, and start it on the steam platform Both ground zero and recekoning are started at the same time by quake2.
Is there an issue with audio? Game crashes when I turn sound on. And cant find the audio driver.

i used to relight like 90% of mission packs
still needs fixed relight editor (especially fog.eds)
also 1 or 2 maps in rogue mission pack cant be done 100% (i think map is toobig)

i have a problem that sometimes the game puts me in the left corner a connection problem icon and the character starts to teleport like when you have connection problems but in the campaign and in singleplayer, idk what happens
Reset cl_maxfps to default value, no any reason to set it to 1000 or other huge value

Try adding the .pak files to the BaseQ2 file. I had the same issue but this fixed it.
Great mod. I am using v1.45 on Slackware linux v14.2 64 bit. Built easily enough and runs great, even online. I had a lot of problems with quake2xp online with linux, plus berserker is much more scalable and possesses a lustre no other engine mod has, and I can run it to the max. It's really a moving work of art. Really beautiful, nice job, and thanks

For some reason, almost all elevators are non-existent in this source port. It makes pretty much all maps unplayable without exploiting NoClip quite a bit.
Does this mod work with Yamagi Quake 2
It is its own source port so to say. There is an especially modified executable included, which is required to run the mod properly. To play it, you just unpack the Berserker archive and drop your .pak and music files in where they belong.
Sound is completely broken for me, meaning: Sound automatically is set to [off], while both sound device and sound quality is set to [automatic]. Choosing a sound device is not possible (only auto is available) and sound always resets to [off], when restarting the game or loading a level. And of course no matter what I try, the game is always mute.
Version 1.45 works fine.
I also already tried to install/update OpenAL: No effect. Sound's still broken.
Is there a workaround or is this a fixable issue for maybe Version 1.47? :)
EDIT: IT WORKS! As suggested by the friendly guest user below I only had to drop the OpenAL32.dll into the root directory of Quake II. You can download the most up to date version of this file here, which worked for me: De.dll-files.com
To get the sound to work i copied OpenAL32.dll to the Quake II folder and sound now works great...it seems you have to have a certain version though...i tried a few from different game directories and the one that worked has a filesize of 115432 bytes (says 113kb in explorer). The copy i used came from the game Dark Void..you can find the file OpenAL32.dll
in the Dark Void\Binaries directory.

how i fix the black textures in the missions pack like the reckoning or ground zero
A question: you have hipoly models from the expansions? I mean, The Reckconing is Ion Ripper, Phalanx Particle Cannon and Trap.
Ground Zero is ETF Rifle, Plasma Beam Cannon, Tesla Mine and Chainsaw (Prox Mine Launcher is the same than Grenade Launcher but with different textures).
If not, you know a project that have this models done?

Is there to change to absolutely ridiculous speed of movement? I love everything else, but walking seems to be more like what sprinting speed should be... and running is like being shot out of a freaking cannon!?! There has got to be a way to fix that, it's nuts. Do people like playing that way?
