Would it be possible to makes this excellent mod compatible with Quake 4? Seeing how it is the same engine.
Quake 4 has different textures so I don't see how.
The textures are different of course, but I'm talking about the improvements such as support for higher resolutions and widescreens, improved GUI, fixed Sikkmod support, etc.

Best mod there is for Doom 3, better textures and GUI than the other mods, better resolution support, thumbs up bro.... curious though, will you eventually add higher poly models to redux? it really seems to be the only addition missing at this point... neck corners and those BLOODY COKE CANS have driven me nuts for as long as I can remember, but i refuse to use other mods with redux =D call me simplistic.
Hello, I just installed and started playing Doom 3 Redux 2.0. There were no issues with the installation and the game seems to have a lot of improved textures, especially when seen in close-up.
One question I have is that the graphics options menu doesn't seem to have the options I have seen in screenshots - I don't see options for motion blur, screen blood etc Also, Aniso and AA are limited to 8X. Can someone please help me out here?

So im playing this mod through dhewm3 along with the Doom 3 Enhanced Edition mod, and although the game looks pretty dang good im not sure if the featurea of this mod are showing through or if its jusy the enhanced edition features. Is there a way i can tell if the mod loaded or not?

does this mod only support english?
It technically supports all languages as long as you have them already installed (Steam supports only five language though). You just need to install the game with the language of your choice (or set it under Steam), then go to "DoomConfig.cfg" and remove the following line:
seta sys_lang "english"
Some of the added text will be missing, but it should work fine otherwise.
I wish I hadnt installed this update. It causes some visual glitches that were not present before updating. Also, some Laptops in the game are invisible. Only had these problems after the update. And after the update, I had to restart the game cause the game would crash when trying to load my save game. Do you think you could make a fix for this update?
The issue appears to be on your end. Neither the mod nor this update will do that on their own and, judging by the kind of issues you're encountering with materials and guis, I would guess that you're using another mod, either in the "redux" or "base" folder.
You may try to remove any such mods, if you can identify them, and verify the game's file integrity using steam. Deleting the "doomconfig.cfg" file could also help if it has been tampered with.
Thanks for the info. I do have a couple of other mods I'm using with Redux. Before this Update, those mods didn't create any problems. I would hate to remove those mods that further enhance Redux for me. I'll just reinstall Redux & not apply this Update. Thank you for the feedback though
Just a heads up that there's a 99% chance you were already breaking aspects of the mod by putting other files on top of it, even if you didn't realize it. There are quite a lot of gameplay-related files that redux touches up, for purely visual reasons, but it's been my experience that Doom 3 mods tend to completely break each other (I've noticed in the reviews section that you mentionned something wrong with the cherub, which has nothing to do with redux and is caused by a conflict with one of the other mods you're using).
As a general rule, everything is to be considered incompatible with redux unless a compatibility patch is available.
That's strange though, cause I was only using "High-Poly Models", "High-Rez Pipes Updated", "EE HD Weapons" and "rAI Upscale" Mods with Redux and, before applying this Update, only had the one issue being with the Cherubs. I looked online into the Cherub thing I was experiencing to see if other people had the same issue. Found two other people on forum threads that had same exact issue with the Cherubs and they didn't say anything about using any mods with Redux. Due to that, I assumed The Cherub issue (ghost-like transperancy & only able to be killed with plasma weapons) was a natural exclusive to this mod. So is that how The Cherubs are in Redux, or is it a glitch caused by using "High-Poly Models" with Redux?
The Cherub is exactly the same in Redux as it is in vanilla (as are all other gameplay-related parameters) so this is indeed coming from one of the mods you're using.

ive installed the patch but the cherubs are still transparent and hard to kill and some computer monitors dont display anything making some puzzles impossible. any idea how to fix this?
How to enable FXAA ?
You only need FXAA if you have a olde GPU if you have a good GPU leave it of. I've done a lot of testing with loads of games.
i dont have the other difficulties only one available is recruit.is this normal?
You have to click on the difficulty textbox to select another one (it will be highlighted when moving the mouse cursor over it so you can't miss it).

Сам сделал адаптацию перевода для версии Redux 2.0 (RC) Update 1, который включает озвучку, текст, надписи.

Устанавливать только на локализованную русскую версию игры.
Никаких распакованных ресурсов (из .pk4) в каталогах быть не должно.
Там три архива, скопируйте их в каталог "...\DooM3\redux\"

- Третий архив, мой небольшой мод, перерисовал многие спецэффекты, спрайты, декали в хорошем качестве. Также не исчезают трупы, дырки, кровь (исчезают, но не быстро). Опционален.
