This is the latest beta version of Metroid: Demon Hunter. There are so many changes from 1.5c that there are too many to list. If you are using GZDoom 4.8.0 or higher, you need to either remove the MDHForms folder from the Main PK3 or just clone my experimental branch on my GitHub.

Notable Bugs:
- Power Beam has a different sprite using overlays. Eventually the rest will be updated to this new style, so there is some graphical glitches when switching beams.
- Exiting maps in Morph Ball form wrecks your inventory and health.
- Keys display incorrectly on the HUD.
- Power Bomb graphic sometimes displays too slow or too fast.
- Scan Visor menu might not show the correct graphic.
lots of bugs
Mainly getting stuck in doors if you dont walk all the way through them
Can you explain a little better? Doors stay open until you're a certain distance away from them.
It's amazing .but unplayable on Delta touch sadly .
I get horrible FPS when loading demon Hunter .
Yeah, the campaign map is horribly unoptimized at the moment. It will be laggy, especially on low end devices.
Nah . I use a rog phone 5 s with 3gh snapdragon 888+ and 16gb ram . Wouldn't call that low end :)
I wasn't saying your phone is low end. I was saying it's laggy regardless. My Ryzen 7 5800X with a 6900XT has lag on that map. It's just very unoptimized and too big.
nah the main issue is gzdoom is just a really unoptimized engine sadly.
No... That's not it at all. I wish people would stop perpetrating such nonsense.
The issue is as I've said: the map I made is way too big with way too many actors and too many linedefs. Any optimization needs to be done by me, not GZDoom.
I have been running into an issue where i can't activate the morphball. It isn't disabled. And yes i have enabled everything.
Is the Morph Ball bind configured in the control options?

I'm loving this so far. Just two questions: Does this beta not have the 3D models for the Arm Cannon, and is it supposed to be using the older HUD? I can't seem to access the visor HUD I see in your videos.
3D models will be a separate add-on. I had to separate the codebase for them because it was turning into spaghetti. As far as the HUD, you can press + and - to make the HUD bigger/smaller and toggles the visor HUD.
First off, yeah that makes sense. I have no idea how coding works so that sounds like a pain. Second, oh my god I'm dumb haha. I had the same problem with another mod's HUD and I didn't think to apply the same logic here.
Hey, it happens!
will this mod ever be updated to have a version that works on zandronum? i know that 1.0 of the original worked on zandronum but than 1.5 of the original mod broke the support for it.
Nope, probably not. Too many things rely on ZScript to even get working and I'm not trying to delve into Zandronum's aging Decorate code-base to hack things together.

Just to clarify for my teeny tiny brain, this is an updated version of Metroid Dreadnought with a campaign being added?
how to play it wont work when I just put the archive in my gzdoom pleas help
Unzip it using 7zip or winrar. Place the file in your GZDoom folder. Drag it to your GZDoom.exe file. It will run.
It keeps giving mean this message?
"1 errors while parsing DECORATE scripts"
Literally unplayable. Literally, I can't play it. Trying to run it normally gives you "X errors while parsing DECORATE scripts". The fix in the description says to remove the MDHForms folder from the Main pk3, but there is no MDHForms folder. There's an MDO_ZForms folder, which I think is what it means, but removing that gives more errors because there are scripts that need the files in the MDO_ZForms folder to be there.
The other solution is to download the experimental build from the github, which has no MDHForms or MDO_ZForms folder, but gives the DECORATE error anyway. I really wish I could play this because I loved Metroid Dreadnought, but I can't figure out a workaround.
