Is there a way to make the FMVs better?
or like if they were up-scaled,
can they be put back into the game with those fmvs?

Hi Phantron

You need to set your resolution in the config file. Please make sure you've followed the installation instructions here:

I was wondering if or when this mod might get updated because the top screen text is slightly broken with the upscaled HUD option.

Are you using any of the extension mods (JKGFX2019 or the JKNUP Annex) which have a different standard font to the original game? AFAIK, the upscaled HUD doesn't work with those newer fonts.

So only the vanilla font has no issues?

Currently yes.

If you want to use JKGFX2019 with the standard font, you need to open JKGFX2019.gob in ConMan ( Moddb.com ), select "sft" from the left and click on msgfont.sft and msgfont16.sft on the right and delete those two files.

I'm using JkGfxMod with GlowSaberX and it works great.
Jkhub.net

But there is one problem so far and it's with the saber color. When Kyle Katarn loses his sabre (lvl 16) and is suppose to get the new yellow sabre, but it remains green. I understand that there is compatibility issue with GSX-JK mod, but I'm just asking that would it be possible to manually change the green saber to yellow?

Or better yet, it would be great to see these two mods combined with JkGfxMod's lightsaber lighting and GlowSaberX light traces..?

Keeps flagging as a virus

Ok so not only does Chrome flag this as a virus, but all of my anti-virus software tells me that this DL contains malware. What gives?

This is very odd since I also get the same AV notifications now, but it remains a case of a false positive. All these injecting software that modify another EXE (in this case jk.exe or jkm.exe) tend to alert the AV detectors, sadly enough. No idea why this version is the first one to do that on my computer, but the source code for the injector is available on github for anyone to check what the EXE does.

Sorry that my response will probably sound kinda unhelpful :/

For my part, the build is run on Microsoft servers using code and scripts you can view on the GitHub page. I've also run the zip against VirusTotal and it says it's clean. If you are especially concerned, you can also try building the source code yourself using the community edition of Visual Studio 2019 (available from Microsoft as a free download).

Unfortunately, there's not much I can offer you other than my personal assurance that you're seeing a false positive. Antivirus false positives are a pervasive issue. In order to avoid annoying their customers too much, they manually whitelist software made by large companies - but for anything else, software made by small companies or sole open source developers, whether they get detected as a virus is essentially random.

If you are able, I recommend reporting this as a false positive or submitting it for further analysis. Or add an exception. Or disable your AV (unpopular fact, but they don't really work).

Oh yes, and that's highly recommended. The Jedi Knight Remastered installer ( Moddb.com ) is supposed to do all that in one process, but it hasn't been updated with JkGfxMod 1.0 yet.

For some reason my browser (Brave) won't let me download this file, saying it's "dangerous".

"C:\Users\taman96\AppData\Local\Temp\_Uy7OB5E.zip.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator."

Not sure how to fix this, but happens whenever I try to download the file.

Sounds to me like it's getting automatically removed by a virus scanner due to the false positive issue Github.com

Can I play with the fixed resolution and FOV but without a whole bunch of changed models & Textures?
