While I've not had any issues installing this. I think some installation instructions would be helpful for others less experienced in mod installation for MtW2 :)

Also, I'm loving the mod so far!
I'm noticing allot of silver surfers though, especially among the Portuguese European troops.

isa0005 Ah yes, Portugal has been a neglected faction. I just uploaded a patch that fixes all of Portugal's native units and several others, I'll release another updated patch in a few days to fix more of the textureless units

The batchfile launches the main game instead of the mod. What should i do?

nemanjac sorry for the trouble, make sure the batch file is in mods/India1519, I'm using the Gold Non-steam version of MTW2, are you using the steam version?
If it's already in the right place it may be because I'm using an older version of the batch file, I'll release an updated one for steam later tonight

If it is in mods/India1519 then it may be because I'm using an older non-steam version of the launcher, I'll release an updated one tonight

The batch file doesn't work...I used a batch file from an older version.
And it worked ..is that fine??....did I play the right version ???.
huzurat how did u get it to work?!
Anyways dude playtested it....if I played the right version the battles are perfect !!....I happened to test a few scenarios with custom battles..it's fine

Congrats

I'd say for battles increase the number of cannons to 4 per unit and increase the number of musketeers per unit

Also make the musket and cannons a little more decisive...increase the morale effect of artillery on enemies especially wet troops

The battle as of now is fine...make artillery a little more decisive
Give musketeers stakes too(if not for all atleast the mughals, since they are a gunpowder faction)

As for the campaign....ill go through it once
I didn't see many settlements I suggested for Berar and Bijapur though... go through the article comment section once....however I may have been playing the wrong version

KrishnaCN The batch files are the same, or should be, for both versions so that's strange, if most of the units in the custom battle screen have native names then you played the right version though. I'll work on the cannons and muskets, I'll increase cannon accuracy and make the units larger though, for light field cannons only, not for the larger siege guns because a low fire rate makes sense for them

And for the map, there's only spots for about 6 more settlements so I have not decided which ones to add, I am keeping in mind your recommendations for Berar and Bijapur though and will consult with you more soon, the next release should have a mostly finished map

Even I don't use the steam version...I'm using the gold non steam version

So I don't know why the batch file didn't work....but yeah the batch file in your old version worked for me for some reason

I also cannot get the mod to work! Tried everything I know! Seems like such a promising mod! Help appreciated! I also get the "cannot find kingdoms.exe" error. Did rename folders and move about for a bit, even pasted into for instance teutonic folder, then it lanuched, but the wrong map.

Try using the batch file in the previous version...replace the batch file with the one in the previous version and try to run it without administrator privileges

Lovely mod KingKoroth! I am rather interested in pre-colonial India so I've waited for this! Most of my feedback is already posted, but I experience crashes from time to time, I think something is wrong with the export_desc_ancillary or character trait, since most crashes are on turn-end. Also, almost every nation is bankrupt. I have looked through the upkeep which is high especially for generals, but even so, most nations need their starting units to be diminished.
I agree with horses being slow, but I think it's mostly the terrain modifier in sand and scrub.
I love the rampage-prone elephants, but perhaps they are even too easily set off. I had to look through the units with +6 bonus against elephants, because elephants would die from one javelin.
I also increased cannons to 4, and made fire_arrow_rockets body-piercing to make them sliiightly more powerful. I also swiched rocket racks from ribault to rocket launcher for the sound but thats esthetics.
Arrows have been unbalancedly powerful so I had to decrease the projectile accuracy and increase that of muskets and cannon slightly.
More on the esthetic note, isn't Amber icon better for diamonds than Ivory? And maybe rename to gems/jewells and add to more places? Arn't for instance Sri-Lanka saphires famous?

Again, lovely mod, looking forward to the progress!

avosetta Hey! Thanks for the feedback, the mod is still in a very early state so there's a lot of issues I haven't gotten around to fixing yet but I'll be working on it and realease an update soon hopefully. Also sorry you've been having crashes, it runs completely fine on my computer, crashes are very rare for me, are you using the steam/gold version, what patch is it updated to? Warnings in the logs are fine though they wont cause crashes, just the errors at the end of the logs, please message me the last 40 or so lines from any CTD logs you get and ill try to look for a fix
Before the last release I had a lot of crashes and removing all the trait triggers fixed the problem, it may be the cause of the problem for you though, ill message you the code to paste into the traits txt file when I get home today, lmk if that fixes it for you

Is there a more convenient way to text you rather than commenting? :) I'm new to this forum!
I am using the steam version, and I sometimes get crashes on other games too so I think my computer doesn't like me very much, but now I get the "sorry pal" error message like all the time which is a shame!
Yeah I noticed there were no trait triggers at all and I could play to year 1570 or something (maybe one crash before a battle). I couldn't resist but added triggers, I absolutely love the supply system and retweaked vanilla! Since then, I have put a lot of effort (more than I get to play actually) in adding and removing different parts of the triggers. Eventually it worked quite fine, but now it constantly crashes on year 1541 :( But maybe I should remove ALL triggers and just be patient for an update? ;)

I thought the elephants are too prone to rampage ....maybe reduce the vulnerability to arrow missile damage.....make them vulnerable to fire arrows and Gunpowder weapons more

KrishnaCN Ill work on balancing the elephants, unfortunately the amount of morale damage on different projectiles can't be changed through normal gameplay mechanics, ill try to find a way to do it with scripts but I'm not sure that's possible

Sigh! Such a great mod but so frustrating with all the crashes!! It is simply not playable atm, I hope the issues can be solved! I have experimented a lot with the exp_descr_character_trait, because when I remove most of the triggers, it works better, but no fun with no traits... I can send you crash logs if helpful, but I suppose you have that info already! Lots of warnings about models_strats missing stuff, but script_errors on character traits
