The file size is considerably larger than the last version, mainly because I forgot to delete all the unnecessary files contained in the big file.

Also, this big file has been tested and it can be fully extracted using HW2 - unfBig 1.4.1 without any problem.

I will probably laugh at the Progenitors when i take our new girls (Awesome crate ships) out on a ride! oh and i will probably use the KABOOM to take out the progenitors (super ultra irritating) snipers!

LOL! Taking out the snipers is easy, but confronting the Progenitor capital ships is completely a different story! Because all the new exotic ships still fight in the conventional way, they too are no match for Progenitor's special powers such as the Miniature Black Hole or the Light Granule. Based on my testing, even after the energy consumption of Progenitor's special powers has been increased, there's still no way for the exotic ship to stand up against the Progenitor capital class, at least not 1 vs 1...

I tried to attack the Progenitors with Sajuuk as soon as i got it.

Sadly it got shot out of the map when firing.

There's no alpha version of this mod, all the downloads you see here are the actual working versions because it's very hard for me to upload such huge files every time, you know... I'm sure there're still bugs that I haven't discovered in the latest version, so you can help improve this mod by letting me know any kind of problem you've encountered.

I'd really like to have some game playing videos from a real player like you, because I think new players will learn this mod better if they can acquire the first-hand experience from a real gamer like you.

i never did a gameplay video of any kind, but i can try to make one, though it won't be done anytime soon, real life problems and stuff like that.

i've never found any problem in your mod so far, every release is stable for my point of view, so i don't think that i'm able to spot problems

anyways, i will try to make a gameplay video, so we'll stay in touch ;D

Hi! I wanted to ask why when I start a new game mode, player vs cpu I begin to brake very hard game! Begins smoothly and everything is fine after a while about 10 minutes through the whole game slows mouse interface on the screen are very slow all the scrolling is choppy. On other versions of this game never had. Just sorry for my English because I did not know very well))

Here's some advice:
1. Always try to use Remote Space Telemetry or Ping (or just send Probes) to reveal all your enemies, this will make the game dramatically smoother for some unknown reason. When a lot of enemies are hidden from view, the game can become very slow, probably due to some fundamental AI algorithm analyzing all the complex stuff, and I haven't figured out how to solve this.

2. Don't set the unit limits (both officer and crew) to too high, especially if you are playing with many Hiigaran players, which cause more lags than other races do due to their complex ship and subsystem models.

3. Some maps are much more laggy than others. If you want to have a smooth game, avoid using maps with too many stuff (for example: 6P-Volcanic Belt, 6P-Ground Zero, 3P-Cold War, 6P-Whiteout).

Mod is really great! We have been playing it for some time and are really enjoying. BUT there is still classical bug left: The Out of Sync crash. The problem is fixed in Complex 9.1 mod so we are playing that currently. I and my friends really hope in some day the out of sync problem can be tackled also in this brilliant mod.

1. Does it crash at some particular time? If so, around which year?
2. Does changing the skirmish settings affect how soon it crashes? Have you tried to set officer/crew limits to minimum? Does that help?
3. After crash, is there anything left in the Hw2.log?
This mod has never been tested in multiplayer mode, because I've been alone and have nobody to test it with.

Homeworld2.exe caused a No Memory in module ntdll.dll at 001b:775db151.
Each time I play as Kadesh or Raider vs Vaygr, game always exit to desktop when progress bar (downloading files process) finished at 100%. The error strangely not happens when playing as Higaran or Progenitor vs Vaygr...

I just add a carrier for kadeshi, my problem is I forget how to make the subsystem appear on user interface (classic problem when adding new ship) and I'm too lazy to search tutorial for it and I cannot at present to online at any time... need some help here...

what would be absalutly amazing is if you use the Complex mod to modify the campaign of the game. it i never understand why so few people do this. i love the ships in this mod yet why dont you do the campaign? im sure you're caperble of doing that. if you could make the campaign more challanging, larger scale, more epic. if you wont do this, can someone tell me any other good mods that enhances the campaign?

Hey, why the game suddenly bailing me out everytime i open it? I already put -mod -ComplexSimple.big -HardwareCursor at the end of the command line shortcut. My computer supports DX11 and 3.0 Shader and i run it in windows XP SP2. Did i do something wrong ?? -__- I really want to try this mod .. -_____-

Right after crash, send me your Hw2.log via Private Message (just as the PDF manual said), I'll find out what's wrong in there.

The most likely case is, you don't have a clean data folder, and there's something in conflict with this mod.

Hey there,
i'm new here, i've played the game long ago and stuff..
Your mod is awesome,but,after test it few ours i've noticed the AI is little rough for new comers.
i've played with higara all the times:
once i manage to estabilice my income, 2-4 heavy cruisers spawn and take me out, or a spam of enemy fighters. every single time they have 2x times my army
am i doing something wrong?, or the higaran are inbalanced on purpose? or i'm noob?

Hiigaran AI (Expert) is indeed pretty strong in the later part of the game, but that's only when compared to other AI players. Using any race, human players should be able to do much better than that. So I think the problem here is with your skirmish settings.

Is just, unfair hehe,
in one of 10 matches i almost did a heavy cruiser , but they come with 4 heavy ships, with 10k damage each haha, is like "oh come on!"
i have no idea if this support he shadowplay or i have to use fraps or something

As I know, Fraps will work, not sure about Shadowplay

It seems that you may have some starting settings too advantageous for the AI player. For example, if you set the Starting Honour Points to a value too high, the AI will begin constructing Battlecruisers pretty soon.

ive no idea if you can see it cause youtube have blocked some background music..

This only happens with the custom races, the higaran and the vagyr respect the IA level, i have defeated 3 easy vagyr enemies yesterday night.

other things i have notice:

i don't remember if the original capital ships from H2 moved that much in combat, i've noticed that the cap shipsdance too way much while fighting.
with a destroyer i try to make a fast presision attack to something but the guy start fly around shooting the designated target, at the first time it may looks cool is very anoying to see he taunts all other nearvy enemy ships, making the attack useless or a defeat.

if i see something else ill tell you :)

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm and feedback! I think the current difficulty of Vaygr AI is still not enough, so I will try to make it smarter.

About the shipdance, which destroyer are you using? Hiigaran or Vaygr? I designed some ships this way because attacking is not only about attack, they also need to have some manoeuverability to evade incoming missiles. If they just attack while being sitting ducks themselves, that will be more unreal, in my opinion. The problem you have is probably that some turrets on these destroyers can't spin fast enough to keep up with the ships' speed. If that's true, I'll increase the turning speed of these turrets.

now is public, but still not sure if you can watch it, i have copyright problems cause the soundtracks.
Seems like the custom races spam over and over enemies, in this video the 2 enemies are in easy and you cn see the diference.

for the shipdance, i was using an higaran destroyer, the basic one(but all the destroyers do that, even the cruiser type B i have used ), it just take too much space to maneuver like 1-2 km in circles, sometimes it get totally out of the battlefield, that's a problem when is the main tank ship in the combat hehe. i will make a vid about it to give an example

Great stuff! I watched your video from the beginning to the end, and found several reasons for why you think the AI is too strong. I'll list them one by one:

1. At year 7, you still didn't have a Crew Station, and your pilot recruiting list was dropping because you were losing pilots in combat. It is crucial that you ALWAYS have a Crew Station and some Crew Cells to increase your recruiting capacity, if you are playing Hiigaran.

2. While the Turanic Raiders were sending Mercenary Gunships and Attack Bombers (both are quite strong stuff in their class), you were building still Bombers to give them target practice? If I know my enemy is Turanic Raiders, I'd get much more anti-figher weapons to prepare for their first waves.

3. While your Research station is under attack, just run for life! Actually, its engine system is quite good, don't let it become a sitting duck.

4. When the war was obviously escalating, you were still building more Interceptors? Build the Capital Ship Facility and get some destroyers! Build a Defense Control Tower to unlock the ECM upgrade of your destroyers. The ECM module on your destroyers will greatly distract the enemy fire!

5. I see you have Afterburner tech on your fighters, but you didn't use them. Activate this ability by pressing "T" when needed.

6. Those basic Hiigaran platforms are good in the first 10 years, but not good enough after that! If you don't have any capital warship, unlock that first. Otherwise, by the time you can build those high-tech platforms (Sentinels), you are already dead because those high-tech platforms require Engineering Division (the 3rd level of Research Station) and much energy to maintain, which are not quite accessible before you can establish a fleet that's already strong enough.

7. Build more Resource Collectors, if 10 is not enough, build 20! Even though your opponents are Easy AI, that doesn't mean you can earn your RUs any easier. Also, upgrade your collectors after building a Harvest Control Module.

8. When you saw the enemy Raiders (destroyer class), the was has already entered the next stage, where simply having some Bombers wouldn't help you! By this time, you should already have all the 3 Stations (Crew, Research, and Power) and several destroyers!

9. Yes! Build Viper Missiles from your Mothership! But do you know there're several upgrades to these missiles too? If you could upgrade these missiles earlier (requires Defense Control Tower and Drive System), they could do much more damage to the enemy Raiders (one Viper can waste one Raider with no problem at all, and if you have the speed upgrades, they can get through those enemy defenses more easily as well)!

10. Evacuation Cell only saves your crew, not the ship. If you don't have a Hyperspace Core, evacuating the Mothership means giving up.

Also, I see in your video that the Vaygr AI wasn't building anything because its collectors were jammed around the asteroids... This is only an occasional case and shouldn't occur in most maps for the most time.

When you have Heretic Armour installed, these little guns are blocked. That's why your Needleship didn't fire.

The Hiigaran Station you mentioned has Black Hole Technology, which specializes in pulling big ships! This is an ultimate weapon of Hiigaran (costs 100000 RUs!!!) and is designed to cope with ultra capital ships.

Thank you so much for videos like these! This is actually the first time I see someone else playing my mod. By watching you play, I noticed a lot of interesting details which I couldn't notice when playing by myself, and this is certainly helpful for improving this mod!

I just fixed the Heretical Armour blocking problem (both on the Needleship and the Avatar) but you won't be able to see them until v2.9. Hope you can upload more videos like these! Someday I may make a collection of your videos and put them on the homepage of this mod so that other new players can have a grasp of the how this mod works. :D
