This patch fixes most issues related to engine branch incompatibility and is designed to run using the latest "Beta" of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. Instructions on how to install and use it are within the archive.

Good news everyone, I updated the patch.
Installing this mod no longer requires the
extraction of HL1: Source related content.

I found out that the Steampipe mounting system was
working after all. It was due to an improper use
of the system on my end. I do apologize for the
inconvenience.

I also made an installation video to help users
having trouble with the installation process.

I just keep getting "Unable to load surface prop file 'scripts/surfaceproperties_hl1.txt' (referenced by manifest file 'scripts/surfaceproperties_manifest.txt')".

I remember some script didn't work in "Revolution of the dead" chapter. It was after finding all wheels and blowing up some kind of HQ. If I remember correctly script was responsible for ambush that openes the path.

If a bug or glitch as such exists, I am afraid I could not be able to fix it.

Please, understand that this patch is a reupload of my previous patch (v1.0) of Heart of Evil: Source, which was about a year ago. The only thing I modified was the gameinfo.txt to change the search path of the hl1 content. I would have simply updated the other patch but unfortunately, adding/editing downloads options are disabled.

Back then, I was using Visual Studio 2013 to build the .DLL files (compiled code to work with the Source SDK 2013). Sadly Visual Studio 2013 is no longer available, and the latest versions of it do not support building with the Source 2013.

In this case, it might be a rare glitch, but should not cause too many issues. I suppose users simply could overcome this by reloading an earlier save.

Fantastic port job. Better than the original with minor editions and power of the source engine. Completed at least 5 times :)

I have problem in my last install though. My right click action (sniper zoom, pistol whip) does not work even it looks like it is bound correctly in keyboard mapping. Does anyone else have a similar problem too?

For some reason, Source SDK Base 2013 Single Player force launches VR, so this isn't really playable anymore. Shame.
