When I played it last, I had bug where their wave files wouldn't play.
I think the name you're looking for is Keller, he is in the wheelchair

That file is not bugging, it was corrupted and make the player ear hear nothing but only background sound

Who else is replying to this five years later? Well, I'll answer it, I think maybe either a wave file is missing or some other issue is occurring. If you open the console, you'll most likely see an error when the audio file plays. This would be easier to find out in the Source engine (not the Gold Source Engine) when you hear Dr. Kliner's classic line: "Oh fiddlesticks, what now?". Make sure you have all the audio files and you'll be fine. If not, then well, I guess you should give up since this whole thing is twelve years old. There finally answered the question! :D

The current state of this port i would say its outdated.
I think the most positive thing about it it's the brush work that was remade.

You are right, the mod has no .exe. It can be started by starting Half-Life as normal, clicking on "Change game" and chosing Decay (the name depends on the name of the Decay-containing folder inside the Half-Life main folder).
I'm not sure, but having the Steam version of Half-Life makes the mod also startable in the Steam library. But the WON version has to be started with the "Change game" method explained above.

Soo I downloaded this, do I put it in my half life folder and not in sourcemods or something?

So, I've downloaded this and I'm struggling a bit to figure out how to use it. I have Half-Life, and I've installed this into common folder, but now I can't seem to figure out what to do next. Help would be appreciated.
You have to copy the "decay" folder into the in the "...\common\Half-Life" folder. If it's the WON and not the Steam version, it also has to be in the Half-Life folder.
The game can be started by starting Half-Life, clicking on "Change Game" in the main menu and chosing "Decay".
i cannot play this since this game was for 2 player only i had problem on a few chapter
press g to switch between characters

Restart Steam, or do this Steamcommunity.com
To fix that you can start the game using the bootstrap parameters.
Click the Create a shortcut on your desktop to hl.exe
Click properties on the shortcut
and add
-game decay
That forces the hl engine to read the folder named decay (Half-Life: Decay folder)
No-Steam example:
Destiny: Drive:\Valve\hl.exe -nomaster -game decay
Start in: Drive:\Valve
Steam example:
Game should be installed in: Drive:\Steam\steamapps\common\half-life
Restart Steam and you should be able to see the game in your library.
In case you can't just do the same as for non-steam on Half-Life
Right click, Properties, Launch Options, -game decay
Glosary: Drive represents the partition were you have the game/steam installed, example. C: drive is Windows (Default)

Great mod, but I really wish you guys would have left Splitscreen capability in when porting this over. This would have been great to play on the big screen with my dad via a couple of controllers.
Play with 2 computers.
