English translations of the text added by GUNSLINGER
GUNSLINGER breathes new life into the weapons of the Zone. This is meant to breathe new life into the text. Roughly translated from Russian, then gone back through individually for context, clarity, and flow.
Version info:
- Compatible with base GUNSLINGER mod for Stalker: Call of Pripyat as of 11-5-22.
- This should not affect existing saved games.
Installation:
- Make sure you're updated to the latest version of GUNSLINGER
- Find your GUNSLINGER installation directory (NOT the main Stalker:CoP installation directory).
- Backup the "gamedata" folder if it already exists, especially if you're using other mods in combination with GUNSLINGER. Particularly, any that affect the same files edited here.
- Copy the included "gamedata" folder into this location and overwrite if asked.
- That's it.
Notes:
- Future GUNSLINGER updates may affect the ability of these files to load properly. If the game crashes on launch or fails to load, remove these files until the next available update.

So is this patch for the beta or the latest build? Not that I can find it but someone in the Gunslinger comments say's they're playing a build from this year.
Whichever build of Gunslinger was available on 4-13-22. I haven't kept up with the mod since then but can put together a more up-to-date pack if new weapons were added and translations need to be done.
Ah thanks, but nevermind though I joined the Discord and found it. However there seems to be a lot of placeholder stuff still so I'mma just wait for the full release no matter how long that is. Thanks though, this mod seems like it'll be at it's best when finished.

Does this change voices and language of the game? I have Gunslinger in my native language plus russian voices for stalkers, but every single Gunslinger related thing is written like string. Will this addon fix that without changing my language?
This doesn't change any voice files, just the text on things added or modified by the Gunslinger team. Their changes were in Russian, so they would be missing from English configurations and you'd just see the string variable names as placeholders instead like "st_dialog_beard_1". If you're playing the game with English text this should fix that.

Okay, so I pasted it to my Gunslinger folder but it didn't changed anything. I don't know why.
Just saw your post in the Discord, looks like someone helped out already. Realistically this a straightforward copy + paste. There's no additional configuration that needs to happen, but running multiple mods or playing the game in non-English may affect functionality.
I think this is why it doesn't work - my game is not in English. Anyway, that's not exactly an issue, and I'll try running your addon with English version of the game. Anyway, thanks for trying to help!

If you’re talking about Gunslinger itself, there’s better info in the Discord. I’d recommend starting there and reading through FAQs and things. As for my translation mod specifically, I updated it earlier this month after their latest release, so it should be current

I was asking because this is the most recent version here on ModDB, I had to go to their YouTube channel and then Download from there
