The lastest version of the Gekokujo - Daimyo Edition.
As promised the new update with promised features is out! Sorry for the delay, assigning perfect spawn points for sieges took a lot of time. It is save game compatible but some Otomo lords got new armors so start new game if you want to see them wear those armors. You can continue playing your old save everything else is save game compatible.
Features :
-Animated flora. Trees and grass are now animated.
-Animated Sashimono and flags! The flags you choose in character creation menu are a little awkard (they wave very awkwardly) but after you choose your banner everything is fine, there are no bugs and such.
- Multiple spawn points. Especially for the castles with multiple gatehouses sieges become very challenging, organize your troops carefully or you might lose the siege because of flanking assaults! :)
- Horses in sieges. Now you and some of your horsemen as well as the enemy attacker can use horses in sieges. They sometimes get stuck on castle stairs and gateway but they dismount when they do. If you dont want horses in sieges because of that, there is a file in the optional folder (-> mission_templates.txt) that you can revert back to normal sieges while keeping the multiple spawn points!
-Fixed Chuurou archery stat bug.
-Tweaked the Onnabushi ironflesh skill they are not tanks anymore.
-Less mercenaries for Lords but instead there are more Spearmen in their armies.
-New armors and helmets.
-Otomo, Uesugi, Satomi, Mori, Miyoshi clans get new armors with multiple colors. (There are 2 more different colour scehemes in optional folder for Otomo clan, you can use whatever you like if you dont want to use whats already in the mod.)
-Reduces food provisions for Cities and Castles. Now you can starve them out if you want.
-Fixed sound bug regarding the bows and arrows.
-Tsushima fort units (matchlock units) got new armors. Now they carry So clan mon (heraldry).
-There are new Ashikaga Shogunate armors for those who want to roleplay as Ashikaga claimant. Use morghs tool to assign them to your own troops.
-2 new Kiso horses.
-Sashimono bug (they went white sometimes) might be fixed, needs more testing.
-New headmeshes for ladies from older Gekokujo version, if you dont want to use it backup "meshes_face_gen, textures_face_gen, materials_face_gen and gekokujo_faces" from daimyo edition and after applying the update, paste the files you backup back to resource folder.

Anybody got any problems with this one? Like black skyboxes, missing textures etc.?
When i was picking my clan flag the top left and right corners of the flags were flipping out, stretching up and down up and down. was definitely not an intended feature. when i found and equipped a sashimono (the flag of your back) and first entered battle with it, it was blank and brown. the second battle i entered with it, it was normal. after a bit of time i defended a village from bandits and my sash had the clan symbol on it but it was blue (it should of been white) the sashes still need a bit of work me thinks. other than that everything else works fine as far as i saw.
In the features list you can see i already wrote about the flags on character creation screen, its not a big deal and i cant do anything about it its something i had to sacrife to have animated sashimonos ingame. Sashimono colour bug is something nobody could fix from the times of Philip to Suguroku and to me. I still try to find the exact reason behind that bug. Thanks, have fun!

i have black skybox how do i fix?
After my recruiter was killed, I am only getting script errors. I am not getting any notifications anymore while travelling on the map and also during combat, the info texts are not functioning anymore. When I look in the message log I only find script errors. What can I do?

I downloaded 2.0 , played little bit and
no sashimono animation in my mod , what im doing wrong ? What settings do i need ?
Nothing is floating ,no banners , no flora
instead that i found archers mixed with gunners ,
skirmishers , spearmen and Ji samurai without sandals (bare feet)
Still these ridiculous NPC and lords names , i know this is lots of work , but fighting vs ''Great Lord '' isn't immersive for me , names do not have to be historical accurate in 100% , just lord like ''Lord Li'' is too much for me
still these funny heroes clothes like nomad armor or pelt coat
some of the looters wear tatami but in loot i found only peasant clothes ,so these mean i took their pants as prize after battle
To be honest i cant see lots of difference compare to oold version , but this can be my own fault
I play on medium settings , but even with that i have floating banners in other mods (Sands of Faith, Hispania 1200), just not in this one

No idea why animations dont work for you i assume it works for other people since they didnt said otherwise.
-Archers mixed with gunners is intented they are skirmisher units.
-Not everyone could afford new shoes and foot protection after every battle, ji samurai and spearmen were poor.
-We cant be sure what names they used in those times as Japanese lords tend to change their names very often. eg Takeda Harunobu -> Takeda Shingen. So no thats not ridiculous its logical, its better to use only surnames (because they called themselves by surnames) rather than to make mistakes.
-Your looting skill is low. Also you cant always loot good armors in every battle.
I'm afraid you compare this mod to many other mods out there, this mod (Gekokujo as a whole) is a very different mod with a very different setting and choices. I cant make changes only for you and they are not bugs, they are design choices.
As i said before no one reported anybugs regarding the animations on sashimonos and flora. Game files seem to be intact. Everything seems OK.

btw Orinal Gekokujo+ Sugoroku has some problems too like disapearing sashimonos if you dont swith off strangers/encounters, disapearing last few lines from inventory or little things like : low tier sjirmisher has 30
one handed weapon skill but peasant 50...
In last version 3.1 (already merged with Sugoroku 3.1)some samurais wear wrong armors , completely mess and is much better download these two mods separately and merge them yourself.
I dint find any proper bug in your mod ( except one probably otomo lord wearing coloured Sashimono too ),I was pretty sure there is something wrong with my settings , i play on my old laptop.

Peasants dont have real weapons like skirmishers do so thats a balance between them. :)
The waving banners in sands of faith are awesome yes but not possible to make them work on sashimonos because sashimonos are tied up and shaders wont work correctly if I use them. :(

basic skirmishers use tanto (swiss Victorinox :) ) and this makes them completely useless in melee,
someof the recruits use only bamboo spears ,no axes ,kama , knifes etc like peasants ,but they are peasants ..
Looter very often dont wear tatami ,when you talk to them , looter has armor on him, but looters in battle wear field clothes
I was making troop tree for ''Rising Sun '' and had sameproblem ,i gave somestuff to the looters and they didnt want wear that ,but when they catched me ,in dialogue screen , looter was dressed like i wanted , Im not modder , no idea why
Could be very nice if you will implement troop tree screen in next update , much easier to modify with Morghs
I found if there is same problem wit Woku Pirates like with looters , they dont wear your armors , they wear field clothes and original Gekokujo tatami but in loot i can find your tatami ( green , golden , silver)

i deleted field clothes from pirates inventory anyway, swaped these funny leather gloves for teppo (skirmishers , spearmen , retainers) , gave some sandals for low tier troops and im gonna change retainer shino suneate for normal suneate without vest (jinbaori ?) . They all look like generals at the moment and i will dosomething with Kinai rebels as they are ovepowered for me ,change NPC heroes equipment, get rid of pelts or nomad armors
i found some Sashimonos in my loot completely useless , they need 13 power draw, is impossble to have that high skill
Hanpo hachimaki helmets should cover hair i think , some ofthem have piece ofcloth on the top but hair are still visible
when imtalking to npc in tavern , specially women ,half of their picture is black (Meiling)
Horo ''cannot be used on horseback '' ??

those sashimono are for BOTS to use not for you there are sashimonos for player. Powerdraw is 13 because to prevent them using sashimonos as weapons. My friend, you complain about things you dont know. There are no bugs with hanpos skirmishers etc. please enjoy your game rather than trying to find bugs, the things you say are not bugs. If you want to edit the game to your liking go ahead but i wont be changing these things my aim is historical accuracy not fancy looking skirmishers. Sorry but it is the way it is, thank you for your interest.

I have 6k hours in warband and cant just enjoy anymore , im lways looking for bugs ). Just tried help and just didnt understand some things like these sashimonos . But we can both agree they shouldnt be in a loot . Ok . Imnot gonna bother you . Iwill be happy playing your historical accurate mod with infantry Horo , beautiful leather gloves and even Nike trainers :) . Good luck

You definetly dont understand the use of items in this mod. Horo is not usable because they supposed to carry it on their backs like a shield but without using them, infantry cant use them either. They carry it on their backs, got it? Do you want to use them like shields, do you want to see people running around with baloons in their hands???
Sandals as i said were common among poor spearmen which are villagers/commoners and ji samurai.
You have 6k hours in warband not in this mod, you dont know what those items are and why I made them the way they are, they all have purpose. Im not stupid to create an item and make it unusable in game:) .

I didnt understand why katanas and tachi are onehanded if they never been onehanded . Everyone knows if they were crap heavy sword mainly used as two handed ,good only against light japanese armors , completely useless in Europe at this time . But I found wakizashi shield and i uderstood why this must be like that . I learn slower than years ago :). Now im tryin to understand why there is miyako horse doing piercing damage and hired guard /hired warrior with riding skill instead athletics.

Im open to advices and i appreciate bug reports. But unfortunately things you say are all intented they are design choices. Katana and Tachi have 2h animations while doing 1h damage, Katana and Tachi were used as secondary weapons most samurai preferred naginatas or yaris like in Europe in 16th century people used polearms rather than swords (excluding flamberges and halfswording techniques).Also katana and tachi are powerful enough to kill heavy armored samurai. The reason they are 1handed is then they would be completely useless on horseback and katana/tachi were produced specifically for horseback fighting. So as you can see thats the most logical way to put them into mod.
That miyako horse and hired guard might be a bug. I'll look into it thank you for reporting! I just want you to know that there are etleast 5-6 people worked on Gekokujo and its design, Phlpp did a great job as the mastermind behind that mod and Suguroku with community carried that torch and now its me and the mod is based on their ideas their designs. You can ask me if you dont understand logic behind some decisions i made, but please dont report them as bugs, because they are not.

I have one short bug report that isn't that big, but can still be annoying. Rebels and other bandit factions aside from deserters chase after me even if I outnumber them by 100. it can be annoying when traveling around and being stopped by one if you're not near any other lords.
Ok . Im sorry , no worries , i know how much ****** hard work it needs , i ve done troop trees for three other mods and this took me 2 weeks each. Cant even imagine I could make a new mod with all that 3d stuff and scripts . Please forgive me

545 BRIGAND can be upgraded to 1730 uesugi nobori bearer and 1731 date nobori bearer , instead 1728 Koga skirmisher , 1729 Koga swordsman

shoukin kasegi is on top tier but has poor skills ,
looters and pirates wear field clothes even i deleted that from inventory, no tatami armors in battle

juxiaoyin you have to unzip . After unzip you have folder , look into it , there is another folder inside with same name. Proper one . Paste that proper one from inside

can you add number of armies carried by lords> my pc can take hundreds more npc in battle, I would lvoe to see huge battles. like 1000 men for daimyos and 700-500 men for vassals. or maybe 500sfor daimyos and 300s for vassals. 1500-1000ss for city and 900-750 for castles?
