A mod for Mount and Blade Warband set in Sengoku era, Japan. Based on Phlipp's amazing mod "Gekokujo"
GEKOKUJO - DAIMYO EDITION
THIS IS THE UPDATED VERSION OF DAIMYO EDITION, YOU DONT NEED ANYTHING ELSE.
What is Daimyo Edition? Well it is something that i've been creating for self use for about 4-5 months, or maybe more. After a while i've decided to release it for other players to play and hopefully enjoy. It is basically Gekokujo merged with many other cool mods and my own models/scripts, without breaking the immersion instead improving it with historical accuracy.
(You dont need vanilla gekokujo to play this)
FEATURES :
1)+150 new items, armors, helmets, weapons, horses and such.
2)New shoulder guards for armors, each armor have 2 new shoulder guards.
3)New animations. (KEEP RAGDOLL ON FOR THEM TO WORK PROPERLY)
4)New scenes (completely new siege scenes with edited old ones.) New interior scenes for towns.
5)Battlebar that shows the strenght of both allies and enemies (Melphz's Submod)
6)Ability to station troops at villages, and villages will produce hired warriors and onnabushi weekly.
7)Ability to select all banners (except for the last two pages for some reason they cause player icon to bug)
8)Increased morale and party sizes.
9)Tweaked the amount of money given by the lords to player when they are offered money instead of castle (that way player will think twice about taking money instead of rebelling.)
10)Many lords get their historical appearences. Ex. Lord Oda, Lord Date, Lord Takeda and many others.
11)Ability to select culture from the camp menu, all the lords will produce selected culture's troops. (Except for the vassals that were companions before, i couldnt solve that issue.)
12)Ability to create unique troops with Morgh's tool. Player will be able to recruit their own troops instead of existing factions' troops.
13)New loading screens.
14)New lighting FX and recoloured flora.
15)New skyboxes.
15)Kyoto scene has been overhauled. There's an emperor/shogun palace instead of a standart interior scene.
16)Ability to talk to lords through the camp menu.(Think of it like sending a messenger

17)New sashimono and horo for hatamoto cavalry.
18)New troops for temples (veteran and elite naginata monks) and Sado island (Honma clan retainers).
19)New ninja armors.
20)Some troops such as Yamabushi were taken out because of realism.
UPDATE (already included in this version)
1- Corrects the Amako troops' equipments.
2- Lord Kobayakawa gets his historical appearance.
3- New ashigaru armors to get more "levy" look (a little varied in colour and style). Ikko troops look more varied because of historical reasons.
4- Slightly incread the cost of the high-end armors to make early game more difficult.
5- Traditional Japanese music from the Gekokujo v3.0
6- Lords' armors (eg Takeda armor, Sanada armor etc.) are more expensive.
7- Reduced the sluttering in large battles (tested up to 500vs 400) with more pc friendly .lods

KNOWN BUGS :
1- For some reason players icon gets bugged when player selects banner from the last 2 pages (last one is the one with the ship symbol)
2- When player makes companion a vassal, they dont recruit troops selected by player.
3- Using recruiter feature in diplomacy mod doesnt work because of new "select culture" script. Dont use it.

Any chance for future updates if you can animate the battle banners the samurai carry on their backs?It would feel like Shogun 2 Total War and its epic/realistic.

Files are OK, if you have any problems please redownload the mod to avoid corrupt game files. :)
For real man this my third time download.
Make sure you installed the mod correctly and also make sure you have the latest version of warband. There are almost 7 thousand downloads and theres nothing wrong with the files. :)
Which version is it? I have 1.1.158 but I don“t know if is the latest
Its 1.158+ so you should be fine with it.

Has anyone made yet to modify the files where gunpowder weapons can be used on
horseback
maybe you can use item modifier tools like morgh's
Did you increase the skills of any of the troops? I've got a couple dozen hours in the base mod and I felt all ranged units were too inaccurate and that Ahshigaru would constantly fail to even hit their target when swinging their Yari.
No but ive added a submod that makes teppo (guns) a little less accurate they were too powerfull and it was inaccurate.

Hello, first of all this mod is awesome man, thank you for sharing it. In the next update, do you think you can adjust the camera when we talk to a lord or a lady while they are seated ? Because for now it looks like i am talking to a wall all the time, and it kind of break my immersion :D
I keep getting a RGL error, Unable to open GEKOKUJO - DAIMYO EDITION Scripts/txt.
I am running Warband 1.170
edit: Even reinstalled Mount and Blade as 1.158 version still did not work. Also WSE Loader still does not make it work.

Hey Aruda! I was a huge fan of the original Gekokujo, and then about a week ago I stumbled upon your Daimyo Edition...never had this much fun playing Warband! The extra stuff makes for a superb experience :D I hope you keep adding more!
Quick question though, since its been driving me nuts: I created custom troops using Morgh's tool (all fine and good) but for some reason when I add sashimono (in particular the three-pronged red sashimono) only a handful of the soldiers in the unit have it displayed in battle. I'd love to know if there's a fix or if that's how it's meant to be :) Thank you!
You should not add sashimonos they are added on default, if you are going to add new troops other than the existing ones, you should check the sashimonos from the items.txt (on morghs tool) to make sure they are not usable as a weapon. As i said they are added on default to "Sokudo" troop tree i suggest you to edit them rather then adding new troops. Cheers!

For some reason when i intall the mod like always, the game dont execute XD.
