Description

Everyone is uncivilized, and everything is decolonized. The Mayans, Aztecs, Mughals, and Incans exist. Also, there are new west African states. You can play as the HRE and feudal Europe, turbulent India, Muslim North Africa, or as the world dominating China. Race to become the first civilized country!

Inca empire has instead of Aimara (south american culture) Amhara(culture in ethiopia) as accepted. Brought me few minutes of confusion. Otherwise the mod is fun.

To begin I have to say that this is one of my favourite Victoria mods out there. The early gamr is really fun since with lower infamy and the buffed conquest casus belli it allows you to easily expand, and it often leads to diferent nations being able to be reñevant in each game. However, I would like to propose some changes since theres stuff that leads to my eyes hurtingbwhen looking at Europe or to one specific nation emptying the workd's wool supply. Considering how fun the mod is, asking for more feels a bit unfair, but theres a bunch of changes and addition that I think would make the mod even better

1. Nerf China. China shouldnt westernize before the 1860s or 1870s so often, but even then I think China needs to get their population reduced. They have more than twice the pops that India has. Tbh India in general has maybe a bit too low population for what it historically had but in the case of India I think the way it is is already quite fun, and if you unite India you will be the strongest states out there, but you at least could be challenged by Europeans. With China everyone will get crushed, and you wont be able to buy wool if they civilize either.

2.Prevent the HRE from blowing up so often. I have no problem with it in theory, but in practice it just leads to Germany never forming and being partitioned by France and Poland.

3. Reduce the wool crisis at the start of the game. This is prob the biggest problem with playing a minor nation but at the same time its the hardest problem of the mod to solve. Wool has a very niche use once you civilize but early game is literally the most important thing out there, so making too many provinces into wool provinces isnt exactly ideal. I think making more nations start with an army and/or add more wool provinces is very much needed.

4. Changes to some formable nations. Needing Slovakia and Moldavia makes Ruthenia very annoying to look at once formed, and in general I think Ruthenia is already annoying enough to form when everyone in eastern Europe wants you to not exist. Also the Celtic Union just feels like a better UK and thats kind of lame honestly. I know it is a big nerf but I would rather replace British as an accepted culture for Breton and give them cores on Brittany instead. I would also either add a province for the Scottish cores in new England so you dont take that much territory when you reclaim your cores or just remove them. Also Im.not being able to form the Almohads nor the Iberian Union rn, and tbh Im not a fan of being able to release formable nations either

Beyond these four, which I consider actually problematic stuff, everything else its more of what I would like to see changed/afded

4. Make some nations actually playable. Even beyond China being China and the wool msking the start very challenging to a lot of nations, the nations in Patagonia and Senegal suck. I would personally give them a big population boost

5. I would like to see some more formables. Forming nations in this mod is really fun, and I think India and Africa would benefit greatly for more nations to form. For India you can have Bharat for non muslims and Hindustan or Dradivistan for Muslims. A Rajput formable nation would be fun too. The Romans would be interesting but prob a bit too OP. Maybe you could rename the Golden Horde into the Great Horde and allow the Great Horde to form the Golden Horde, since rn having to deal with so many vassals is awkward. Also the Mali Empire, Nusantara, Burgundy/Lotharingia and a united Patagonia could be interesting

6. More nationw in Africa, South Asia and America. We could have Great Zimbabwe, Mutapa, Adal, Alodia, Makuria, Funj, Ajuran, Kitara and Buganda in eastern Africa and Kongo, Ndongo, Luba and Luanda in western Africa.

America could also get the mississippian chiefdoms addeds as their own nations in the US, the Muisca in Colombia and the Mapuche in Chile. Maybe splitting Inca into Chimu, Aymara and Calchaqui could be interesting since as they are Inca have fewer population than the Aztecs, lower literacy than the Iroquois and no neighbours so they feel kinda dull.

Persia is a very fun nation, but I think a more interesting option would be to split Persia into a few diferent kingdoms and make Persia a formable nation, since that was the state Persia was in the 15th century, you could add Ardabil, Ajam and Qara Qoyunlu. Same goes for Burma who could be split beetwen Shan, Ava, Toungoo and Pegu

7. Some releasables represeting ethnicities would be nice. Swiss culture is still there despite there not being no Switzerland

Sorry for the big wall of text, great mod overall.

Also I would recomend you to create a discord to make communication easier

one thing i would like to add to these issues is the matter of naval supply consumption

i've found that with frigates and clipper transports, despite having their *building* requirements changed to lumber, still had their *maintenance* stats set to convoys, which cannot be produced at the start of the game

it's very easy to fix and (to me, at least) rather hard to miss, which makes me wonder a bit if the mod dev did this intentionally

Sorry for spamming so many comments, but its been a while I guess. I have been playing as the French, the Scots and in China and I have a few things to talk about;
- If Ireland forms the Celtic Union, they can form Ireland back. Then they can form the Celtic Union then form Ireland, etc etc. This leads to them getting infinite prestige and every time they tag switch the war justification bugs out I believe.
- Scotland has British as their main culture. When they form the Celtic Union they get every culture except Manx culture as accepted. I still think that Scotland and the Celtic Union should lose their cores in Northern England.
- Beyond a general research point debuff China shouldnt get so many points from conquering stuff
- Theres a lot of wars that get done by event with countries that dont exist and countries that do. The Chinese civil wars is the most obvious example but the French war with the English still happens even when Englabd has formed the UK. Its annoying to have them in the current war window but the big problem is that it just debuffs those countries abd make the AI act very weird
- Beyond that, I have dound Bukkhara to be extremely fun despite having practically nothing going on for them. They have a lot to do in the earlu game Maybe something for them like a Turkic formable would beinteresting.
