I tried to make this mission pack a completely different experience to Quake Vanilla and Mission Pack 1, with different models and textures for as many elements as is humanly possible. Even the sound setup has been changed to a slightly different set. Personally I think Dissolution's a great mission pack, much more inventive than the first. Epsilon Build Addon pack - Mission Pack 2 - Dissolution of Eternity
==========================================---------------------------
I tried to make this mission pack a completely different experience to Quake Vanilla and Mission Pack 1, with different models and textures for as many elements as is humanly possible. I've even changed the sound setup to a slightly different set (seven's). Personally I think Dissolution's a great mission pack, much more inventive than the first.
This addon pack for Mission pack 2 requires both a Quake Epsilon build, a Quake Epsilon MP1 addon pack and a full version of Quake Mission pack 2 (Dissolution of Eternity) - there are no shareware versions of either of the quake mission packs.
Installation and running:
========---------========
You'll need the Quake epsilon build (with full commercial .pak) installed on your computer.
1. Unzip this expansion's zip file to your quake folder (not into the ID1 sub-folder).
2. Copy pak0.pak file from the "rogue" folder of your commercial Quake Dissolution of Eternity (mission pack 2) installation to your quake epsilon "rogue" folder.
3. Run the game:
Windows: run (double-click) quake - mission pack 2.bat
Mac: run (double-click) quake - mission pack 2 - mac
Linux: run (double-click) quake - mission pack 2 - linux
Omitted Content:
=====----------
For legal reasons I obviously can't include the MP2 pak0.pak or soundtrack in this pack. Usually it's about $2.50-$5 on steam, depending on sales. If you're using steam the pak0.pak file will be in your steam/steamapps/common/quake/rogue folder. The soundtrack is not included with the steam download but can be found around the net. Instead I've included a correctly-looped and edited version of Sonic Mayhem's "Methods of Destruction" (freely available from Psychotic Leisure music blog).

Sonic Mayhem's alt-quake soundtrack was released to the public early 2012 - all I've done is looped and corrected certain aspects of it. One track has been removed in order to match the 9 tracks used in mission pack 2.
