Full release package of Mobility Mod version 2.0. It contains the modified Episode 2 engine, and the original tutorial/mini-campaign. It does not contain the levels and content of Half-Life 2, Episode 1, or Episode 2 - they are loaded from your existing steam installations.

Mobility Mod Version 2 Install Guide
Prerequisites
You need:
- Steam installed
- Half-Life 2, Episode 1, and Episode 2 installed in your primary steam library, inside where steam is installed. E.g., C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2. These should NOT be switched into any betas. Probably a good idea to launch these and make sure they run okay.
- Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer installed in the same library, and switched into the 'Upcoming' beta on the betas tab
- If you had to do anything to get to this point, probably a good idea to verify local content on anything you've changed.
Installation
- Exit steam using the menu: Steam->Exit
- Download the ep2_mobility_v2.0.zip package
- Scan it for viruses
- Unzip the package into the sourcemods folder in your primary steam library, e.g. C:\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods
- Make sure that it unzipped to the correct directory. You should see steamapps\sourcemods\ep2_mobility, and inside the ep2_mobility folder there should be a bunch of files and folders
- Launch Steam. You should see Mobility Mod v2 in your steam library. Launch it
- If it crashes to desktop after the Valve video, it probably means you missed a step with the prerequisites. Double check everything.
Start Playing
- Go into the options menu and configure keys for grenade, melee, toggle speedometer etc.
- Go into Keyboard->Advanced and enable the developer console - you'll need it if you want to use lessclip or the new EGAR rocket launcher
- Start a new game, pick a chapter. If you haven't played the mod's tutorial, that's a good place to start. If you have, you might want to play the new melee tutorial - it's very quick. You've got all the chapters from Half-Life 2, Episode 1, and Episode 2 available.
- Have fun!

If you don't see 'Mobility Mod v2' in your steam library, there's a few possibilities. Make sure the library is showing ALL, not just TOOLS etc. And it's on a windows pc.
If it's definitely not there, then either the mod didn't get unzipped to the right place, or steam didn't get completely restarted.
If you close steam with the x in the corner, it doesn't really exit - you have to go to the steam menu and click Exit.
Steam needs to find a file called gameinfo.txt when it starts up. Check that when you unzipped the mod into the (wherever steam is)\steamapps\sourcemods folder, it got extracted to sourcemods\ep2_mobility, and that gameinfo.txt is in that folder. There can't be another folder like ep2_mobility_v2.0\ep2_mobility.
That's about all I can think of. Hope this helps.
Man, I'm an idiot, I figured out everything, it turns out that the folder in which I installed the games (D: \ SteamLibrary \ steamapps \ sourcemods) does not support mods, I tried to install them in their native way (C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ sourcemods) and I did it!

The grenade cooking fuse is a little too long and can get you killed in a pickle with lots of enemies. Anyway to shorten it? This is a great mod anyway so keep up the amazing work!
No way to change it (in this version, anyway). You can still shoot while cooking though. And it won't explode until you throw it, no matter how long you cook it.

I just get the error 'unable to load surface prop file "scripts/surfaceproperties_ep2.txt" (referenced by manifest file "scripts/surfaceproperties_manifest.txt)' that causes it to crash on loading the menu. I've tried reinstalling it but to no avail
I haven't seen this problem before. The file is one it should be able to find in your existing Episode 2 installation. Can you check if you have all the half-life 2 games, the source sdk base and the mod installed in your primary steam library? Also check that only the Source SDK Base is switched into a beta, none of the others. Try verifying local content and restarting steam. That's about all I can think of. Hope it helps.
Found the solution if either of you were interested. Add this line:
game+mod |all_source_engine_paths|ep2/ep2_pak.vpk
to Mobilty Mod's gameinfo.txt

Don't know if this is intentional or not, but if you quick swing the crowbar and hold +attack during or the couple milliseconds after, you'll start swinging it REALLY fast.
I think that's a bug that I decided not to fix.
Would you care to leave it? It is extremely good for taking out large antlion packs at low health. Which I am at constantly because I'm bad.
Is this a separate game from half-life or does it modify the game itself?
Installing the mod doesn't affect the game itself. You can still play the original version. The mod is like a different version of the game that uses the original levels from where the game is installed.

No, sorry. When mods have new weapons, enemies etc., or new functions or behaviour (e.g. wallrunning), that's done by modifying the source code, which is then compiled into binary code in client.dll and server.dll. You can't plug MMod in without unplugging Mobility Mod, is one way to put it.

Have you checked everything in the install guide? Half-Life 2 and both episodes need to be installed in your main steam library, under the folder where steam itself is installed.
If that doesn't fix it, try verifying local content for HL2 and the episodes.
If that still doesn't fix it, can you please post everything from the developer console (~ key, might need to enable the console in Options->Keyboard->Advanced) when you launch the game and start an ep2 map?
And the game half life 2 episodes 1 and 2 and the sourcemods folder must be on the same disk for them to work?
Yes, they all need to be in the main steam library.

I'm still working on v3. I've done most of the coding changes. Making some new tutorial maps, but it takes forever. It won't be ready to release this year.
the fov setting just stopped working for me when i started a game in the main campaign, i think the userconfig.cfg might've gotten deleted somehow but that doesnt make sense to me
You could try setting fov_desired in the console.
not sure if this is a known problem but in ravenholm when your in that room where father gregori shoots you on accident his second shot crashes the game

also at the end of ravenholm the land that gregori is standing on is invisible and you need to jump into it to progress

Yeah, that's pretty common - certain parts of the level are only loaded when you hit a particular trigger, or go into that part.
i have a suggestion for development too, maybe you could get a volunteer to balance the maps around the mobility you have, like removing invisible walls, tweaking different spaces to better accommodate, etc.
Easier said than done, I'm afraid. That would be years of work.
i can't even load half life 2 maps and episode 2 maps have a bunch of missing textures and graphical errors
Unfortunately enough, this mod doesn't really work well anymore. I DO know a way to fix some of the things you said, though. Let me know if you are interested.
Man, Why the hell the mod always crash when i try to load save (because i'm get killed). the error say "ED_alloc: No free edicts".
Please Fix this error, i almost suicide to fix this by myself...
