Description

I love this mod

It's just so well done i like how it works with all the monsters mods i have and it run very well in Delta Touch (GZdoom Zandronum and LZdoom Android port) very well you deserve mod of the year

I cannot. Zandronum doesn't have nearly as many features to make this mod possible... else I would've done that already.

No, not this mod. You might have seen some fan addons being used as skins (some as behavior mods) for the weapons, but this mod itself strictly sticks to the source material of 2016. :D

This is a great single player experience. Also very nice what you did in terms of using sounds. Since I haven't seen anyone mentioning this, I do it now :). It's perfect for the eviternity or btsx1 maps for eyample. Overall an excelent job.

That's what I aimed for, recreating the solid gameplay experience of DOOM 2016 to use anywhere else! :D

Oh yeah, BTSX E1 and Eviternity are two of my favorite mapsets! Beyond that, it plays well with Hellbound, Dark Encounters, ZPack, Ancient Aliens, and quite a few other mapsets!

it's a way of speaking ... your goal in the game is to get to Hell and destroy everything, do what a Demon does in other worlds. Also, often as a player your goal is to get to Hell and see everything the game has to offer. But you're totally right.

I congratulate you, I do this with all those who offer material to share, but as a good Doomguy let me respectfully say: WHAT THE **** HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY SPRINTS ?! (You understand the way of speaking, right? XD).
Seriously, like Sam, your Mod is amazing. I really like it visually, it can be played smoothly in a Celeron, and the settings section is also polished. The submenus system and how the keyboard or mouse react is a real delight. In my opinion what is really missing is that in the movement speed option: either you can activate the sprint / run instead of that bundle of%, or that the Zmovement mod is implemented directly which seems to me the most complete in this topic. It would also be very good to be able to disable your HUD because it overlaps the others so that "alternatives" cannot be chosen. For the rest ... after trying it a few hours with various maps, I confirm that it is the best mod recreating the "new DOOM"! Very very good work, brother.

I'm a bit weak in the movement speed manipulation department... the only two options concerning that are the Slayer's speed as it is in DOOM (2016), and the original default player pawn speed as is seen in Doom. I'm still working on other solutions that'll help make the movement feel more faithful (for example, less slippage).

As for the HUD, it's programmed in ACS, and is not a StatusBar class that can be overridden. Nor should you try to do so, unless your alternate HUD mods can accommodate for the additional information given to you by the default HUD here, such as for Equipment. While these others may not be as necessary to be depicted in a HUD mod, I feel it's also important for you to be able to keep track of the mod you have currently equipped and the amount of BFG/Chainsaw ammo you have left.

ow! Thank you I'm gonna try it. You know...I like to have my things but I'm limited because I only know to play =P anyway if you need testers you only have to say it! the mod comes, if the modder needs help, the help come hahahaha

really like those different spawn settings! it pretty much makes all mapsets and megawads fresh and interesting again, even if you played them x100. also you can glory kill a lost soul and all i can say about that is... its about damn time.

I actually liked that Lost Souls weren't Glory Killable, but they had MUCH lower health in 2016 than in the original games, and I'd honestly would prefer over what we have right now. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about that, unless I were to make a custom replacement actor... wouldn't work for the core mod, but certainly in an addon. :D

You're welcome!

A ZION x EOA crossover likely wouldn't work. The animations I have in place were designed for EOA, and there would be fewer to work with in ZION, especially for melee options. Using the sprites here, it allows me a greater deal of flexibility when coming up with animations, for achieving that perfect blend between old and new. ;) Using ZION's weapon sprites would take that aspect away from this mod... although I'd think ZION could benefit from the progression/upgrade systems I have in place here. :D

My delta touch is actually the 2019 version cause my friend use share it app to me,before the opentouch make some license ********! And now my friend can't share it the delta touch anymore because each time it load the game it always error and said license not found! so my delta touch doesn't have lzdoom

I'm sorry to hear that.

Fortunately, word's spreading fast that you can contact the dev directly in order to obtain a legitimate licensed version of Delta Touch (or was it Doom Touch?) through the app store. You just need to email him, and he'll provide you with a key.

Hey so I've been trying to get the mod to work, not sure why this is happening, but I keep getting an error. Fair warning I am pretty unfamiliar with how the loading of mods and wads work other than highlighting the ones I want, dragging onto gzdoom or zandronum, selecting usually doom 2, and playing from there.

Anyway the error says " Execution could not continue. 1 errors while parsing EOA Code.pk3:zscript.txt " How do I fix this? I tried selecting and placing the EOA code and EOA assets in the order it said to and it never works, I just keep getting that error. I am not sure what to do and I really want to play this mod. Any help would be kindly appreciated.

make sure you are using latest GZDoom .. It will not work with zandronum. I suggest you use ZDL for loading mods and make sure you load EOa Assets first. For drag and drop, make sure you start dragging the files from EOA Assets.

The ledge-mantling only happens if you're pressing the Move Forward button. If you're using Delta Touch, that joystick input won't register as "Move Forward". Solution for now: you'll need to bind a button to "Move Forward", press it when you approach a ledge, and that'll get you to climb. ;)
