Contains DOOM 64 CE with upscales, PBR materials, new sounds and more. Requires a patched DOOM64.IWAD (see prerequisites instructions below). Comes bundled with GZDoom 4.11.0 for convenience, but you can use an existing installation of it. Read the readme for more details.
NOTE IF UPGRADING FROM <3.7: Saved games from previous versions won't work! This version has breaking changes, so any map packs from ModDB's addons tab need to be downloaded again. The Doom 64 Lost Levels wad should also be generated again to avoid issues with the new fire skies.
Version 3.8.0 (Full)
- Implemented emulation of linear fog fades.
- Added an option to emulate playing on the original resolution.
- Due to changes in the latest GZDoom version, light modes can no longer be changed through the Features menu.
- Added an option to toggle PSX gamma correction.
- Upscales are no longer bundled with the Full version and instead are provided as a separete download. They are still auto-loaded if present.
- Fixed compatibility with GZDoom 4.11.
- Updated the bundled GZDoom to 4.11.
Prerequisites
Starting from version 2.0.4, DOOM 64 CE does not run standalone and requires a copy of DOOM 64 for Steam , GOG or Epic Games to work. The original DOOM 64 IWAD (DOOM64.WAD) can't be used as is and requires patching to make it discoverable by gzdoom. An automatic patcher is included in this package to make this process easier:
Run doom64-install.bat. It will try to find your installation of DOOM 64 and automatically patch and create all necessary files to play. If for any reason the Steam installation is not found, you can copy DOOM64.WAD to the same folder as the .bat file and it will use that instead (special thanks to phredreeke for the idea and initial implementation).
Once it finishes, open gzdoom.exe and you will be able to select DOOM 64 CE from the list. If you do not wish to use the bundled gzdoom and have it installed elsewhere, copy the IWAD and PK3s to its location or the paths configured in its [IWADSearch.Directories] and [FileSearch.Directories].

Hi! The Doom 64 Intro has some strange lights effects (too bright) around the arena!
Any way to fix that?
P.S.
The old bug of Corruption Cards is back (On Hub Levels)! If you choose "keep the cards" credits roll. If not the game loads normally!
Can you describe what the strange light effects are? A screenshot would be helpful.
Check out this screenshot, please!

Can you please download again and see if it's fixed?
Yes! It's fixed! Both bugs! Thank you very much!
Hi! Version 3.8.0.1 doesn't contain the upscaled textures nor the "Arranged" soundtrack. Are they missing, or the version is correct as it is? Thanks!
It's intentional. You can still download them separately from the Addons tab of this page.
Thank you!
I Like the graphics as they are in the full version, but it's nice to have the upscaled ones for second playthroughs.
I'm occasionally getting some very bad hitching,
where the game logic keeps going but everything is frozen,
sometimes for even up to a second before returning to normal.
I've never had this problem before. Maybe it's the new fog settings.
Also I'm very rarely getting weapons auto-targeting corpses on the floor,
making it impossible to fire straight.
I can't replicate any of this. I may need others to confirm if the hitching happens to them too. Can you share your ini?
