Note: If downloading from MEGA, make sure you either use Google Chrome (or Chromium) or install the MEGA browser extension for Firefox, otherwise the file won't be saved correctly as it is over 100MB. Official explanation here.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Dawn of War: Soulstorm patch 1.20.
- SS Objectives mod: Mediafire.com
HOW TO INSTALL:
- Run installer, pretty much self explanatory from there.
RECOMMENDATIONS (TAKE NOTE):
- Please play our recommended Daemons mod map titled "Arena of Khorne (4, Daemons mod).
1] To do
-Spotting sounds (coming soon, thanks to Thud)
-Perhaps fix the remaining warnings (The muzzles for turret/hellspawn weapons and the missing sounds).
-Add wargear to Daemon Lord. If the wargear is implemented, use the 4th sword (yes, I already have 4 models by Marko and Cosmo) for the stature Daemon Lord.
-Wargear (the greater gifts) as a wincondition (like in wargear mod?) - since we already use wargear...
-Cover markers of some units still absent.
-Fix minor issues on Eye of Terror (targeting is missing, and a minor building anim bug) . Perhaps Ask Marko to add "chains" to buildings..
2] Known Issues (minor)
> Movement (modifiers) of Fiends and KoS are not proper for the model. I changed them so that to "depict" Slaanesh's high speed - but I do not like the visual... See it, and tell me what you think.
>Player Exploit / Bug: Multiple Worships, if cued in more than one HQs. Similar issue in choosing BOTH armies by pausing and cueing in a single-player skirmish. I think, we will leave BOTH as are....
3] Remaining AI
> Sacrifice ability is now fixed, but I think it's a bit complicated for me to code the AI...
> Slaanesh doom pit ability. This one target enemy squads only, and disable abilities (best used on commanders). I was unable to implement it, I checked the IDH tactics file, but damn, I am not familiarized with those AI engine functions...
> (not really AI) Assassinate win condition. We have too many primary commander squads (15), so the code needs revamping.

I played it and it was really good..
but
The daemons are a bit overpowered
I tried to play 3vs3 and they just spammed greater daemons
Maybe you should only allow 1 Daemon on the battlefield.

The daemons are not overpowered at all. We have tested this hundreds of times, and usually the daemons lose/win. :p
The AI is also really well coded. Maybe you see that as a problem?

Hey, this is a really sweet mod, and definitely steps above 0.96!
However, I seem to be getting some fatal scar error whenever I try playing under Destroy HQ win conditions. Is this a bug you haven't fixed yet, or is there some quick fix I can use to make it usable?
Update: Found the issue: If you check the destroyhq scar file, look for "elseif playerRace == "daemons_race" then" line. The racebp for daemons actually swapped the a and e in daemons, so the fixed line should be "elseif playerRace == "deamons_race" then"
Has anyone else been able to run the Arena of Khorne map the mod provides? Is there a specific set of conditions that I need to use to make it not give a fatal scar error every time I play it, or is there somewhere else that can give me a look at the scar file for this particular situation?
Tenshi, me, and Gambit last playtested the Arena of Khorne map on:
Annihilate, game timer, take and hold, and control area.
The map worked completely. We also have uncovered that the ucs lines works for only English language.

Please reinstall the mod. It should be working.
i reinstalled 2 times but it still doesn't work. Trying the mod manager didn't work either, it launches vanilla soulstorm.

Uh oh, I made an oopsie. It seems as though I forgot to activate the Daemons Mod before I installed this new patch. And I had it on Ultimate Apocalypse. I forgot that it was incompatible with UA. Now I can't even play Soulstorm. Will the Ultimate Apocalypse 1.73 patch resolve this?
Idea: Remove the .module files titled: "Daemons, UltimateApocalypse, UltimateApocalypse_NewRaces" and its campaign from your DOW SS folder.
Run Soulstorm.exe ;)
It helped somewhat. My Soulstorm works fine, but what now? Is it safe for me to re-install UA again Or should I wait until 1.73 comes along?

I've seen that tweaking the mod manager yes, you can play the new chaos demons in UA 1.72.7, but I run in an fatal ai error (probably because there were chaos demons controlled by ai), moreover the faction isn't 'apocalyzed' anyway, so I would suggest to wait for UA 1.73 ;)

Anyway I can made the Daemons 'apocalyzed' . Just give them UNLIMIT Shadow, Obliterate and greater Daemons.

I mean the soulstorm mod manager (download it from the web) that allows you (if you tweak it correctly) to launch UA + demons (it can launch mods together)
I managed to edit the module of UA and was able to play the Daemons but then I get Scar error :(( . Still playable but cannot win. However I'll accept that for now

2. After I install the new daemons mod the UA new races (and probably the campaign too) ceased to work! It's rather unfortunate but I have to change back to the 0.96 daemons mod to be able to play UA :<!
Hi since i'v instaled this mod it dosent work and my ultimate apocalypse new race and campaign also what shoul i do ?
Finally got it working, (I figured out a little late that I had to uninstall 0.92 first lol), I'm liking the mechanics so far, I'm really looking forward to when I can play it with UA again.
