I'm doing something wrong but i can't figure out what;
every time i try to apply the patch it breaks the mod in such a way that builders can't build.
I'll have to check myself but did you install the full 1.83 installer first?
Yes, and i tried reinstalling as well.
But i've further narrowed down the issue,
It seems to be caused when i enable the "Buildings do quadruple damage" win condition.
Hmmm, I'll check it later.

Depends on whether or not if I like the race enough and if I feel they need changing.

just went through the campaign, then decided skirmish... :(
That might be something to do with the Victory Points win conditions and/or some of the Fuggles win conditions. I need to check.
kind of found a error on sister's stronghold assault:

still in necron stronghold there is also an error in capturing the points for disabling monoliths. something about capturing points. when desrtroy monolith - FSE.

I haven't looked at the Necron stronghold yet but I will soon.
On sisters stronghold not work Saint Altare's. Destroy all four - FSE. maybe it's because I continued the game after the error from confessor. before the mistake with the confessor was treated by his murder and reload.

I just went through the Necron stronghold from start to finish without any errors. I don't seem to be having the same problem you are.
I don't end the necron stronghold. If I capture all four point, after destroy all four monolith anyway FSE (Ln 2116). If I (with chaters way) destroy all four monolith WITHOUT CAPTURE - anyway FSE (Ln 2116)
