Description

Hi guys, decided to release CINEmatic MOD v1.0.12152020 (public alpha version) which is not the final version and it is still 10% of the stuff that needs to be done and some stuff will be redone even to higher quality in the final version. This is the alpha version that is ready for 16K resolution and at least to get maximum visuals - must be played on an 8K resolution monitor. Final versions will be available in 4K and 8K resolution version, but currently not available at this point in 4K version, however, 8K resolution version does not look to bad on 4K resolution monitor but requires a gazillion VRAM - video card that used by me as the CiNEmatic mod developer that had no problems was Titan RTX but VRAM usage was above 20 GB of VRAM. My goal is to release the final version with every detail before Christmas. Instructions: Unpack files in Quake III installation folder, run the game and select mods -> CiNEmatic MOD. Read Readme.txt.

You will need to download and extract all four parts. It will create the folder CiNEmatic Mod. Make sure that the CiNEmatic MOD folder located in the main or root folder of Quake III Arena's original game installation. Thanks.

ok i have put the folder in the quake 3 main arena root. what should i name the folder too?

You will need to download and extract all four parts into CiNEmatic Mod folder. If it will create 4 folders - copy all files and put it into CiNEmatic Mod folder that you created in Quake III arena installation folder. Make sure that the CiNEmatic MOD folder located in the main or root folder of Quake III Arena's original game installation. Thanks.

cool i have all of them downloaded an i guess i need a source port of quake 3?

to use all of these features?

Yes, you will need Quake III original game installed. Unpack all the fourt parts with files *. pk3 into CiNEmaticMod folder and put the folder into main folder of Quake III installation. Run the game and select mods through the menu and select CiNEmaticMod. Thanks for trying, better version is coming and I will increase the level of details.

Download all four files, extract the archive and place all the files - should be zzz.... .pk3 into CiNEmatic folder - make sure that CiNEmatic folder inside of original Quake III Arena main folder installation. Create a shortcut to q3 executable of original game Inside of the Quake III arena folder to the file quake3.exe - if you are running original game and click right mouse button on created shortcut and find start "Balblabla \quake3.exe" and add after “.....\quake3.exe" +set com_hunkMegs 512 +set fs_game CiNEmatic
Make sure to add it after quote but without a quotes

With 512 every Quake 3 map starts without problems otherwise it will be Z_Malloc error. Also Increase to 1024 to be sure.

What resolution you are trying to run the game and what is your video card and how much VRAM it has? Thanks.

Quake3e mod is supported by CiNEmatic mod, so download and install Quake 3E mod and then CiNEmatic mod. I highly recommend Quake3E mod because it is using a better engine that supports more variety of 3d renders like DirectX, OpenGL and Vulkan APIs.

quake3e is not a mod, but a modern Q3A engine. Just like ioquake3. Strictly speaking, it is based on a non-SDL source dump from ioquake3.
