umm so one thing shot gun single shot sounds are randomly screwed up i dont know why it felt like i was being punished everytime i used the shotgun but other than that i am totally speechless it was long but holy crap was it freaking amazing.

Such a long wait - and such short gameplay. You can downvote this post, but I was even a little upset and hope there will not be such long delays in the future. Good luck developers!

I can see how much work has gone into Captive Freight, but the layout is too complex for me, too few indicators of the exit from the current area or room, although I did find some exits that were not obvious.
Lots of frustration trying to find the next path, too many dead ends. Thanks for all your effort.

Plus, the current walkthrough videos are WAY too dark, I can't see enough details.

Man that was intense and awesome experience. Such a nice fun to get thru once again those episodes designs in such a good damn way. That was breathtaking. I hadn’t idea that such old engine like source can be bend to this level of experience.

Hello everyone,
almost finish all chapters, it's incredibly good. Only some personal notes:
- sometimes it's difficult to understand where to go and what to do next, at least for those who (like me) never played the original
- the first three chapters are very, very dark. Some lights here and there probably would help.
That said, the gameplay is solid and the level design is incredibile

Just finished the 4th chapter. I had some issues mapping buttons to my controller. I had to use the automatic mapping but if I switched away from my submachine gun, I wasn't getting it back until I ran out of ammo with my rocket launcher. A little annoying but I know it will be corrected. Selecting a weapon on an Xbox One controller was very cumbersome since it wouldn't map correctly but again I know it will be addressed. The game itself was incredible! I loved the interactions with the people and the little "team" that is formed at the end. I'm looking forward to the next chapter! Thank you all.

Good job you guys did great with this mod! However, there is a bug where sometimes the music won't be played, I opened the console and it would say "Failed to create decoder for MP3" and "Attempting to play MP3 with no vaudio". Does this has to do with the windows version? because I am playing on the windows 11.

Hello, just tried this. Have installed the required files here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa
But am getting the following error message: Windows cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Mesa\\..\..\..\..\common\Black Mesa\bms.exe. Make sure you've typed the name correctly, then try again.

Any ideas?

Another BMS update stopped blue shift working. AGAIN. Also sometimes a HECU will disappear while in combat. I'm on chapte 4 so how long?

You have done a very great job.
But I have to say that, the level design in Chapter 3 is ********. I know you wanna try to add new contents and extend the gameplay, but it's somehow too redundant. I spent almost 5 hrs to get through the waste crushing area. Very hidden vent entries without a hint, unnecessary puzzle design, full of twists and turns obtaining the explosives, etc. You should place prominent marks to tell the players where to go next instead of letting the players spend most of the time finding vents entries or hidden doors or hidden props.
Sry about my poor English. I'm not saying that's the fault of you. I'm just posting my comments and opionions. It's still an amazing re-make.
