PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL BETA 8.5 BEFORE DOWNLOADING THIS PATCH!! Make sure you copy the contents of this file into your A World of Ice and Fire module folder overwriting everything it asks. This patch is NOT savegame compatible. Meaning a new game will need to be started. Sorry.

I could have released a patch that is. But then i wouldnt have fixed much :).
ah hell man its all just timing, I just spent the last 3 days at 12 hours a day building my character up....lol just bad timing for me. I appreciate all the bug fixes and your hard work. You've done a really great job, I have played cozurs mod for years and I'm happy to tell you I believe yours is now better with 8.5 and 8.6. I'll prolly start a new game for 8.6 rt now and im pretty hard core when I play so tell me where to report bugs and youll have a reliable source.

so I looked at the sight and the faq and the wiki...is that correct? There are only 3 quests in the game? Is there an updated quest list of the ones you can complete? After a heroic battle at that farm I can enter (couldnt in 8.5) I then have to go find john snow, he says he is busy then I look at the quest notes and alas.....not able to complete lol.
There is more scattered about the world. Some through rumours in taverns. Go explore and find them :).
I had to move on....you added something that ruined cozurs mod as well for a lot of people. You work hard to make your character as strong and bad *** as possible, eating mushrooms or berrys on the road, can take stg and agil away, and with autosave on which you need for random crashes you cant go back, plus without a quest list you dont know whats worth starting or not, clash of kings has like 15 quests that work. don't get me wrong, this is a good mod and youve done great work, little things can kill game play though. I also saw that you arent really planning on carrying over to bannerlord without a lot of help so in my mind its time to move on. I wish you could team up with cozur and teach him how to fix his economy, thats what kills clash of kings. But he is a jerk so i doubt thats possible

Hey man, I was super tired and cranky. Robbers knights got lucky and snatched me. I play Ironman for myself so If die ( get captured once its game over for me ) Plus that strength hit for the mushrooms made it so i couldnt use my axe. WHich made me lose lol....Anyways....I don't want quest locations, just to know what quests exist that can be completed. I am gonna give it another go and just try to remember to save often, i normally do auto save but im not going to have it on this time since i cant stand those random stat drops during traveling. Keep at it man this could be a really amazing mod with some polish and continued diligence. I do hope you carry this to bannerlord. Cozurs clash of kings may be fun for one play through because of the quests and valaryan weapons but end game is unsustainable because his economy is screwed up and businesses cant make profit. So for longer term i'd say you have a winner, altho in a clash of kings essos has a lot more cities, just fyi
OKay got a couple bugs for ya....when being enlisted in a lords army there are a couple issues...#1 Script warning division by zero line 104, then it spams: at script-- apply death affect on courage scores.......in castle black tourney malthius still isnt armed, and when enlisted in larger battles, reinforcesments do not work properly, and it will chop the battles into several smaller engagements even though one side could of reinforced a lot more, it seems like you have default reinforcements sets to 2 or 3 waves and total men during battle at 150, you might want to set waves at like 10 and totals like 300 on the field at once, not sure tho i just know that from perisno.

You don't want beta 8. You need to uninstall beta 8, then install beta 8.5, then copy beta 8.6 over beta 8.5.

would it still say beta 8.5 in the drop down module menu when you start the game?

Produno. thanks man, great changes. Keep up the good work. you might want to check a clash of kings mods wiki or play it a little bit. The unique scenes for the major cities are cool, so are the villages in essos and the quest lines are awesome, got to give him credit for that. Especially the one with the nights watch where you get dark sister, and the line that takes you to mereen and leads to the house targ invasion with dorne siding with them. he has a lot more quests but those are two of the longest and best lines. A couple other fun ones r where u have to kill ramsey snow, fight wights and get rewarded with wildfire and there is one where the reward is coldbringer, a huge cold two handed mace, Just ideas....have a good one.
Acok is a great mod its just that the modder is probably the biggest douchebag in the world lol. he for some reason thinks everyone wants to be his friend or something but yes the guy can code. i've logged a lot of hours in acok and i'd love nothing more than if that modder and this modder got together! they could make one wicked *** mod!

I am unable to start the initial roleplay quest. When King Robb Stark tells me to protect the village from wildings i am unable to locate the village and there is no information in the quest log.

No, you drag the contents of the 8.6 file into the 8.5 file. It does say this at the top of this page.
follow the road north from winterfel. it should pop up on the map. if you reach the wall you've gone too far. GL

ok bro i just spent 20 min chasing down an enemy that can run 100mph backwards... Idk if its all the factions or what but it seems like its only ironborn. u gotta put an express fix on this because that **** is ridiculous! other than that though I have to tell u great game! i love it. i've logged a lot of hours on Acok but i have to say this mod blows it up! a lot of it is little things too like that nevermind is on the top and u don't have to scroll through 100 names to get to it. Genius! i'm not knocking you by the way about the glitch that **** happens no worries I just cant play it until u fix it and I want to play it lol
does anyone know where the code is for this? I highly doubt that he's gonna make a patch just for this lol and i want to play the game now while i have time. i know its that he accidently put like 100 instead of 10 or something so it would be an easy fix i just dont know where to look
This is actually a very rare native bug. I think it only happens with one type of troop. Feel free to test this and post back any reports on my forums. I may try removing that troop or swapping them for another to see if it solves this.
It was also an issue in Brytenwalda with just the Dena pirate troops.
ya its only the "Ironman Captain" I'm sure it's just something in the code so maybe you could post a fix or something? so I or whoever could go in and change the speed they move. it's only backwards too. It's annoying but i figured out if you tell your troops to hold and you chase him down by yourself he's more likely to attack you so you can fight him 1v1 and kill him. for anyone else having the same problem. btw thank you for the response!
I'm receiving a 'Virus Detected' error from Microsoft Security Essentials (Spursint.A) when downloading the latest patch (8.6).
You are downloading it from this site right?
Every upload here has to be verified so i find it highly unlikely it would contain a virus. If however you download from somewhere else then i guess its a bit of a lottery.

I replaced all the data inside the 8.5 folder with the 8.6 stuff, yet it still says 8.5 in the start screen.
I also find getting started quite frustrating. I have like 30 men, morale is terrible all through the bench, whorehouses are empty for some reason and replenishing morale by fighting bandits and the likes won't do, as I either finde none at all or only groups that whipe me out in a matter of seconds - bandits, clansmen, the likes, just for the record. So i run around westeros looking for groups I can take while my men are slowly leaving due to lack of morale. Very frustrating.
You should check the forums or wiki for some guides on how best to play. This is a pretty difficult mod. Raising an army in the ASoIaF world is no easy feat ;)
