This is a fan made video game demo showcase based on the Metroid series owned in its entirety by Nintendo. This project and its members have no intention of appropriating the Metroid intellectual property or make profits over it. The sole purposes of Super Metroid Prime are education, growth and entertainment.
Exported it to Unity for in-game previewing purpose. I'm also working on a way to replicate anisotropic reflection in order to generate correct lighting on rough surfaces. For now I'm just doing researches for making a shader myself, at least for educational purpose. I'm pretty sure I will fail on my own initiative and Unity will save me again. :p
Also found a stupid way to fit the E symbol on it. At least I don't have that on my mind anymore!
As a slight update to this, I was using a Gaussian blur shader to replicate frosted a glass effect for the letter, but it seems the new High Definition Rendering Pipeline from Unity covers the job now. It's still experimental though, but this is pretty much entirely covered now. I now need to find ways to have a brushed metal look and possibly refraction for the glass; last of which should be covered with the HDRP as well.
