Very atmospheric, dark main menu theme with 24 unique and handcrafted wallpapers in 2K for 16:9 screens!
This is a Gamma optimized animated menu background with the following features and goals:
- 24 totally new & unique artworks handcrafted by myself based on real locations in Stalker
- 21:9 4k and 16:9 2k support (for the 21:9 file go here: Moddb.com )!
- compiled in one video with fitting new background music (dark tension, melancholic)
- very atmospheric (that was at least my intention) background, which should put you in the perfect mood for playing some Stalker!
- support for MCM, Gamma, load screen, new game, settings etc.
- extremely minimalistic, no bloat
- newly colored mouse button and menu selector
- fully compatible with Gamma, keeping the menu fonts etc.
ALL images in this mod are 100% owned and created by me, no third party images. So you will have a totally new and unique experience. I am a digital content creator for over 12 years. I added a few screenshots!
Version history: 2.0:
- initial launch with only 21:9 screen ratio support
2.1:
- added 16:9 2K support
- finetuned the music / video sync
- changed & improved some art works and minor editing / transition mistakes
2.2:
- reduced strobe / flash effects and lowered the amount of special effects overall
- improved video quality + improved frame rate

Would you consider adding a version that has no 'distortion' effects when changing images? They are quite strong and irritating
I will remove them with the next update, or make them much less visible. After using it myself for a few days, I am getting annoyed by them too. Give me 1-2 days ;)

I dont see any difference in the effects
- less effects
- effects are way darker, the white flashes are heavily reduced.
play both videos as comparison with VLC player ;)

I watched both side by side. There is still almost all distortion left in 2.2. Its just not for me thats fine. Great that you keep making these
mhh, yes I left them from one transition to transition, but changed the effect from white flashes to black ones, except for the wish granter scene.
If its not for you, I am sorry :( Maybe I will do one very minimalistic in the future, not sure but I will let you know!
Can you take the scene from the Wish Granter and make animated only that scene?

Glad to eard that. The Wish Granter scene it's just perfect by itself. If you want you can add scenes about anomalies and its dangers to highlight the risks of the Zone.
PLUS: A background dismal soundtrack.

AI is something cool but those weapons looks horrible
fun fact: in two images I modeled the guns myself in 3D + photoshop, since AI could just not handle it. BTW all images are not made entirely by AI, I just used it to enhance some images or create some quick backgrounds which would otherwise take me hours.
Does music really only work on first launch? Pressing escape to menu mid game is silent
yes, to change that it would need a script, I might include this as alternative download in the future

did you go into the zone to take these pictures?
some of them are based on screenshots, but some of them are made with unreal engine and refined with the help of Photoshop and AI, while others were made almost entirely in Photoshop and Houdini
