A more updated version of UDV, that works with PB 3.0.
This is a patch for saegiru's Ultimate DoomVisor mod that makes it more compatible with PB 3.0.
Simply replace the old "UDV_2.13_A_BASE.pk3" with this file.
Improvements over old version(s) include:
- No "divide by zero in script 24008" error when using the .45 Pistol.
- Nailgun is listed as "UAC240 Heavy Nailgun" instead of "Heavy Machine Gun"
- Nailgun is listed as "NAIL" iion the ammo counter instead of HMG"
- Meatshields are listed as "MSHLD" instead of "UAC30"
- Deagle now listed in both weapon list and ammo counter
- Super Grenade Launcher now is listed as "SGL" instead of being stuck on "IMPCT" in the latest build of 3.0
Thanks to cemtex.tx on Reddit for help with fixing the script error.
NOTE: This is not 100% complete. There will probably be updates in the future that make it more compatible, like the Nailgun saying "NAIL" when in nailgun mode and "HRPN" when in harpoon mode, but that will only happen when I get better at scripting.
2ND NOTE: Due to the fact that it now says "Project Brutality 3.0" when loading, you may need to change it to "Ultimate DoomVisor v3.0" to fit your needs.
WARNING: This will not work with the 3.0 beta from 2018.

I don't think GZDoom cares about the name of a PWAD, only its contents.

I don't think so. That probably would require a lot more knowledge of scripting, and I don't have that knowledge.

I'm surprised people are still using UDV despite the development of UDV being put into a halt until PB 3.0 gets a final or stable release. Most users on the Project Brutality Discord have switched to either Cats Visor or NekosHUD since those have recently been getting more updates than UDV.

Which one of those two would you recommend to play PB 3.0 with? I've only ever used one custom HUD (UDV) in the past.
I persist on using it solely because of its inventory feature.
Hey, can you tell me how to change just the menu font color and or font type? The options menus specifically. I am getting some weird colors, and they make it hard to look at. Like the UDV options menu and others are all white text with a grey outline, it makes it really hard to see what it says until I mouse over. I have been looking through the files but I can't figure it out for the life of me.
1. In the "graphics" folder, there is a subfolder called "font". Try messing with that.
2. You do know that there is an add-on for UDV that restores the default font of whatever mod(s) you're playing. (it comes with the official UDV download)
Could you please provide a link for the add-on? It doesn't show up for me and I can't find it anywhere.

The new super grenade launcher in the latest PB 3.0 doesn't display properly in UDV. Only impact mode is shown when switching modes.

Hmmm, I'll see. I will say however, that my source port (LZDoom) doesn't work with the latest version, so I use a January 2020 build instead. I'll probably be able to fix it when I find out how to fix the Nailgun not showing "HRPN" on Harpoon mode.
For now, it'll just say "SGL."
When switching modes with the Excavator, the "drop charge" will be shown as "BFG9K" rather than "DROP" as it originally did.
The Freezer Rifle's second mode called "freeze ray" is displayed as "HRAIL".
Zombieman and shotgunners class zombies don't have nametags (like, pvt Harold), only chaingunner type class monster does, same goes for zombie scientists.
Turn on "Default Class instead of Name" in the UDV options.
I really like this hud, but I want to change the text color from grey to the original color, I saw comment mentioning the font file but I don't know what to do in there

The Railgun was updated, and the BFG-9000's Contact Beam mode was moved over to this weapon.
The Rocket Launcher was overhauled, and now has three firemodes: Standard, Laser-Guided, and Lock-On.
The Carbine has also had its firemodes restored.
Can you fix the flashlight with this?

Note if the maps make use of the Hub system, the Geiger system will cause an address zero abort if there is a damaging floor too close to the player on reentering the hub, even if the feature had been turned off.

yep, had this happen to me after playing some to get my mind off of the fact that I can't beat system shock remake due to crashes every time I go to the flight deck...
Only for, just as I'm really starting to enjoy it, the game crashes every time I go to another level in this game too...
It never ends...
Is there any ways to make it less lag Like UDV no lag mods?
