Have a lower end pc? Want some extra fps? This texture pack is for you! Around 5gb of textures optimized down to 1.69gb with little quality loss and a large performance boost.
Using DDSOpt I optimized all the textures I had in my gamedata folder except for the UI, Scopes, Sky and FX so the quality loss is hardly noticeable at 1080p resolution.
All credit to original mod creators.
New with version 1.2 the repack contains the Fluffy Grass v1 from paranoiia8, I'll try to add v2 eventually.
I highly recommend JSGME to manage your mods.
1. Copy the Very optimized textures folder into your MODS folder
2. Enable and enjoy smooth fps, Overwrite files if asked.
Without JSGME simply drag the gamedata folder to your CoM directory, overwriting any files.
(These screenshots are of v1 which have the optimized sky textures, so the skies should look even better than the screenshots.)

Very cool, thanks!

Yes I saw some people did this for the original misery mod and noticed a big improvement so I thought I would try the same here and I agree, I haven't dropped below 90fps in the dead city where before it was around 45 for me. This should also help a lot with memory related crashes.
Hey, I've got a problem. The sky is pretty weird after installing this addon.
This is how they look like: Puu.sh
I'm quite sure it's the problem with this addon, as I haven't installed any other addon that would do anything to skies.
Any idea how to fix it?
I have decreased the size considerably so what you need to do to reverse that is disable the mod in jsgme then go into the mod folder and look for textures/sky/ delete everything in that folder or the folder entirely, then re apply the mod with jsgme.
Edit: just looked at the screenshot it looks like ddsopt messed up a bit with the sky textures, I'll look into fixing that in the next couple days, for now do what I posted above to return to the original textures for now.
I can't seem to reproduce this issue but if you can confirm this worked for you I'll upload a fixed repack shortly.
I took sky textures from autumnal winds and everything is fine now.
Okay well, I'll be removing the optimized sky textures as they didn't give a massive performance boost anyways, maybe I'll mess with them later.

I'm running normal CoM d fix 2 vanilla, no AO or STCoM. Any suggestions on what directories I need to leave out to avoid my arms turning blue and my scopes going off center?
You can try 1.2 which I'm uploading now which should solve the binocular and scope issue. I'm not too sure why your arms would go blue but you can search through the texture folder for anything arm related and remove that.
So my binoculars and other scopes turned really small and moved to left top part of screen. I had to return gamedata/textures/wpn/ to weapon pack's original for it to return to normal
In general you don't optimize full screen interface elements because you end up with stuff like this
Sorry I thought I uploaded a fix for that already, I'll reupload the fix today.
Does it work with Immersive Reshade?
hey man, manhole covers are rendering blue in garage at the bandit camp warehouse. id definitely look into fixing that.
Same issue here - the rest seems very good, but the blue manhole covers are fairly intrusive and distracting. They just look too clean.
Are there a history of any crashes that have to do with missing textures/meshes with this mod? CoM keeps crashing, sometimes due to a missing animation or something, and other times because of missing textures.
"with little quality loss and a large performance boost"
This is ********, there is a significant loss in quality and I didn't notice any large boost in performance.
I installed this and the first thing i noticed was the manholes cover were blue, i'll keep looking, i'm almost certain i had some other texture mods, it's being a while since i last played it
