What the title says, I like a lot the 1P29 scope, but didn't like much the low resolution the old model had.
First of all: this mod is fully compatible with everything, it doesn't edit config files etc, it's just 2K retextures for the scope vanilla model AND a new 2D scope made from the rendering of the new baked mesh itself.
Update 1.1
- Added slight shading around 2D sight reticle (updated in screenshots)
- Removed mipmaps from 2D sight reticle, should now be compatible with all resolutions and texture quality settings (tested on 16:10 and 16:9 resolutions) Thanks to PYP for the hint
If for some reason it still looks strange on your monitor (stretched or anything), hit me up with a PM and a screenshot of it, telling me your resolution and if you're using edited config files for the weapons!
Technical stuff:
First I recreated an high poly version of the scope from which I baked new normals, all onto the vanilla model, keeping thus his UVs. This means no mesh swaps, no config files edited, and 100% compatibility with anything.
The reticle of the 2D scope is in HD too, since I made it as a vector in illustrator to avoid losing too much quality when compressing it. It's based on the "modern" variant of the scope, it's 2018 in the zone after all.

Hey. The reticle looks perfect but doesnt work for me, there is weird stretching, i think you have to provide the proper config files. I am not sure but with some reverse engineering i could be able to make it work for me, but others will need those files. And by the way, couple of months ago i created 3 custom scope reticles (PSO-1, PSO-1 M2-1 and PKS-07), i started a forum thread with some technical questions that no one answered, i offered the reticles but no one was interested so i deleted the post. But i spend time in them and now i can offer them to you(since i am sure you are technical wise) to do whatever you want with them. If you are interested message me. I can give you both the .psd and .dds files.

It's strange because I reverse engineered the vanilla one (1024x1024),what resolution are you playing on? Will check on it, can you also share a screenshot?
They are probably experiencing what happens when their texture quality slider is below half way.
This is because the wpn_crosshair_1p29.dds texture contains mipmaps.
updating with a version without mipmaps should fix that.

Update: i removed the stretching by resizing your .dds to 1364x1024 and using configs files from another scope mod. My scopes are based on these config files. Now the problem is that i am f****ng stupid and forgot how i got rid from the square look of the retexture- the wpn_crosshair_add_l and wpn_crosshair_add_r aren't showing, so it looks like a square with no shade to the left and right. Back to reverse engineering. Numbers don't like me xD.

Update 2: i followed what PYP said and now everything is working properly.
Great to hear you fixed it, yeah the game uses 1024x1024 textures which are 1365x1024 (4:3) in origin, probably some resolutions like 16:10 needs it to be 8:5 in origin and then squared
Anyway asap I'll release a tweaked version without mip maps and some shading on the glass, with a link for non 16:9 resolutions!

Hud model AK-104 with 1P29 scope uses the wrong old path to the root of the wpn folder, so there are old textures on it.
These textures are:
wpn_addon_scope_1p29.dds
wpn_addon_scope_1p29_Bump.dds
should also be placed here:
textures \ wpn \
Or, you need to register other paths in the mesh.

Looks very nice. My only gripe is the outside looks bright... like, when I look through it at night, the housing around the scope looks illuminated like I've got a headlamp on even when I don't. Looks fantastic in the day though!
OK HectorShirio, I edited my files to suit my tastes... blurred out the exterior of the scope, made it a bit darker, I also edited the crosshair to include the horizontal markings the real-life scope has, whatever those things are, and I did a green and non-illuminated version. IDK if you might be interested in these edits to offer as optional choices in your mod here. There was also an odd line on the right side outside the scope, I cleaned that up too (you can actually see it in your 2nd screenshot.) I spent a few hours here making sure they were nice and neat.
All of mine have my blurred/darkened exterior of the scope, but I could quickly throw together a non-blurred version if that's more to your liking even one of each style, if so let me know I'd be happy to share any of these.
