Tweaked Meds is a small addon that tweaks the number of uses of various medical items so that they reflect their icon
Prerequisites: None
Conflicts: Addons that edit gamedata\configs\items\items\items_drugs.ltx or items_medical.ltx (medical ltx only affected by Tweaks for Food, Drug and Drink Animations and Arzi and Animations)
V1.0.1 Tweaked Meds is a small addon that tweaks the number of uses of various medical items and now comes with a spiffy new FOMOD installer for use with MO2 due to the choices that have been added.
There are now four options to choose from and they are (Pick only one):
- Base version (the original V1.0)
- *Arzi Radiation Compatibility (for use with Arzi's Dynamic Radiation Zones and Radiation Overhaul 2.1)
- Tweaks for Food, Drug and Drink Animations (for visual consistency with the animations of that mod and not the icons)
- *Arzi and Animations (For use with both Arzi's Radiation addon and the Food Drug and Drink Animations addon)
*Arzi related files must be loaded after Arzi's Radiation Addon otherwise you will not get the tweaked uses
Installation
It is recommended to use MO2 and follow along with the included installer however:
MO2 users:
- Add addon through the MO2 UI
- Select version of addon that you wish to use
JSGME users:
- Unzip Tweaked Meds 1.0.1
- Choose the version of the addon you wish to use
- Create a gamedata folder within the chosen version
- Drag and drop the configs folder into the newly created gamedata folder
- Move the entire folder to your JSGME MODS folder (e.g if you have chosen base version copy the Base Version folder to your JSGME MODS folder - the final filepath should look something like ***\MODS\Base Version\gamedata\configs\items\items)
- Enable with JSGME
Manual:
- Unzip Tweaked Meds 1.0.1
- Choose the version of the addon you wish to use
- Drop the configs folder into your stalker anomaly gamedata folder (the final filepath should look something like gamedata\configs\items\items

As I do not use either of the two mentioned addons there may be inconsistencies so please let me know what they are what uses I need to change.
Other Stuff
I haven't spent much work balancing the prices of these items as it is intended more for combining meds off of looted stalkers.
If you have any suggestions or find any medical items I have missed please let me know.
This addon was made with the Cripsis Icon pack in mind but does not require that addon

Nice, now I don't have to hoard medicines for Grok's Body Health System.
Hey mate could you please let me know if there are conflicts with Grok's Body Health System due to the scripts Grok uses? I don't use that addon and so am unable to test it.
Everything seems to be fine, the mod works as intended but I found a problem with EFT Full Medical Item Overhaul mod. This mod overwrites EFT Medical's "items_medical.ltx" and "items_drugs.ltx", removing the custom icon provided by EFT Medical and replacing it with the vanilla one. It still works but some of EFT Medical items are missing.
I like the sound of this , as a QOL addon for immersion , and i like that you made this to combine found meds rather than as an exploit for trading etc etc.
Can i ask if you can add a compatibility patch for the radiation overhaul mod Moddb.com please ?
And yes Valzanar the need not to hoard quite as much appeals to me too :)
Hey mate all done
Hey , Thank you so much the the compatibility patch. seems to be working well :) if I encounter any issues I'll let you know.
Thanks again and happy stalking !
The problem with increasing the number of uses for many of the items that involve using pills is that it does not account for the fact that many of these items are meant to be taken with a dosage of two, not one. The item descriptions for Vinca, Psy-block, and Caffeine state that you are supposed to take two pills at a time. Given that the models and icons show ten pills, and 10/2=5, they should have only five uses.
Also, if you use the "Food, Drug, and Drinks Animations" addon, the animation played when using any items that involves consuming pills, almost always shows the player using two pills at a time, or three in the case of Yadulin and Akvatabs. This is a pretty popular addon, so consistency with this addon would be much appreciated.
What items certainly should have their uses increased are Potassium Iodide (the number of uses does not make sense with the icon or model, as you can't divide ten pills into three uses), Yadulin (it has one use despite being a sizable container of pills, the same size as Akvatabs), and the First Aid Kits (they have two uses, despite the models showing that they have three syringes).
Hey mate,
Thanks for the feedback. I myself do not use the animation addon so did not create it with that in mind.
However to provide choices, I have gone ahead and created an addon that aligns the amount of uses of the drugs with what is represented in the animation addon. My only reference however was the video provided on the addon page. If you do end up using this file please let me know if I have missed something.
Hey there , thank you again for the mod , you asked us to report anything that might need tweaking....
The Yadulin medicine is a bottle so could maybe have 3 uses like you gave to the Akvatabs .
i'm using your patch for azari and animations ,
Also can i clarify if i just need to use the patch or do i need to use you main file first in load order ?
Thank you for any help.
Hey Mate,
So Akavatabs and Yadulin should have 4 uses each if you spawn a bottle of akvatabs and it's only 3 let me know. (I picked a bit of an arbitrary number based on the size of the tablets and how many the player takes in the video)
So for installation, all you need to do is pick one file and you're set however this will need to be loaded after Arzi's Radiation addon otherwise you won't get the increased uses.
In your case if you want to use Arzi and Animations you would:
MO2:
- Install the mod through MO2
- Select the Arzi and Animations option
- Activate in MO2
JSGME:
- Unzip Tweaked Meds 1.0.1 and open the folder
- Open the Arzi and Animations folder
- Create a gamedata folder inside the Arzi and Animations folder
- Move the configs file into this newly created gamedata folder
- Move the Arzi and Animations folder into your MODS folder
- Activate through JSGME
Manual:
- Unzip Tweaked Meds 1.0.1 and open the folder
- Open the Arzi and Animations folder
- Copy configs folder into your S.T.A.L.K.E.R Anomaly gamedata folder
If you need any further guidance please let me know.
i cant install it through MO 2 cause the file doesnt exist in a gamedata folder, its just configs
