This weapon audio has been archived by the uploader because it is out of date and no longer supported. We recommend you browse the file list for the latest weapon audio.
This mod is now outdated. Down load the newest version especially if you have JSRS in your load order
look further down for link
Are you all excited that you just got your USA Saiga 12 ISG, then you get that silencer screwed in annnnnd
You shoot.
It sounds like pump action BB gun instead.
I got a solution for you.
IF want more thumps and whumps form you shot guns while silenced this mod is for you.
This mod is now outdated. Down load the newest version especially if you have JSRS in your load order
I started with the audio file that user FalloutChad (No Country For Old Men Silenced Shotgun Replacer) uploaded for fallout 4. Which was inspired by the sound of the silenced Shot gun in no country for old men. Much tweaking and fiddling. I think we got a decent sounding silenced shot gun for stalker.
Now Compatible with JSRS and Bas
Best installed with MO2. Which gives you the option to install just the Base game sound change. or options for BaS compatibility and JSRS compatibility
Manual install just copy the contents of each gamedata folder into your game data folder its only 3 files. This would have to be installed after BaS and JSRS.
V1.3 Changelog Fixed issue of when companion or NPC was also shooting a shot gun with a silencer, the sound cold be heard at full volume regardless of distance. To fix this issue I had to mix the sound from stereo down to mono. Sound had to be boosted a little to maintain its punch.
V1.2 Changelog
Minor tweaking tamed squeal a lot more. Tweaked the sound adding a crack and a minor eco, added correct ogg comments.
V1 Changelog
a little more EQ to tame that squeal. Got rid of the pseudo echo. Fixed audio clipping. Brought volume levels down a little not so loud.
Next update will make full use of JSRS, I have figured out how its layering works via its config files. So future version of this will keep current version for those that don't use JSRS. Currently the JSRS option is just points the JSRS configs to my current sound file instead using JSRS layering.
Video example
!!!!!TEASER!!!!!! for soon to be released showcasing the Proper use of JSRS Layers
Possibly, Also I just figured out how JSRS sound layering and configs work, So at least expect this to get updated with the option of using the full potential of JSRS.
With out those higher frequency's the thumps just sound muddy and dead and sound like its underwater. The first version I released those higher frequency's were a little to hot in the mix. so I have dialed them back some. Its a fine line.
Hi, i encountered an issue, i was minding my business in dead city when hearing some kind of metallic hammer sound, well i found out it was a merc with a silenced saiga, problem is it is way too loud and it doesn't seem to fade off much with distance.
I almost thought someone was trolling me playing a random sound but nope.
What version do you have?
The name of the most recent zip file is Better_SSG_V.1.2 ?
Prior to that I did not use the correct ogg comments that could cause your issue.
Issue should be fixed.
Game engine does not like stereo sounds.
Gunshots need to be in mono for it to adjust sounds based on distance.
learn something new every day.
So just downloads the new file 1.3.1 and your problems will go away.
Its a mod that adds ExoSeva outfits that the player can ware.
For what ever reason its not displaying correctly in first person view. But 3rd person view you see eh correct outfit.
the rabbit hole you just sent me down to finally figure out why the arm were no matching the out fit properly lol.
But at least the mod author for that mod knows now that they need to fix their configs
did you intall my addon only using the the base game option.
I don't use BWR but looking through what that addon changes, it does not touch the sagia_silence_shot file.
Unless you installed my addon with the JSRS compatibility and the BaS compatibility options that could cause problems.
Both JSRS and BMR alter weapon_sounds.itx
My patch For JSRS also alters this config I have it point to my sound instead of JSRS layering tables.
So it looks like as of now there is no compatibly between those 2 mods and mine.
I am soon changing how my addon works with JSRS.
As of now it just points to the ogg file I made instead of using JSRS layering.
Also reworking it i don't have to alter that config for my addon to work. That was just a quick hacky way since i did not really understand how JRSR worked at that point.
If there will be a JSRS patch, i will try. 🤟🏻
Its updated.
Dude this is good! I am looking forward to using this later. Do you have plans to do more guns in the future?
Possibly, Also I just figured out how JSRS sound layering and configs work, So at least expect this to get updated with the option of using the full potential of JSRS.
Why is there a high pitch squeak sound mixed in with the thump of a shot? It sounds really .. odd.

Yeah.. except to me it now sounds like I'm firing some kinda futuristic energy weapon instead of a shotgun. It's just a bit unfitting. *shrug*
edit: also, errors in logs:

You might want to download and use something like SAVandT @ Metacognix.com to set ogg comments properly.
Update incoming, tamed the squeal,
Little more crack and echo in there as well.
THx for tip on editing comments in ogg files.

I have recreated the issue by giving a gun to a companion.
So something else has to be tweaked to prevent this.

Thanks, i was using the latest version, i was also assuming it was an improper encoding or something so good catch.
What is that armor you're using from? What looks like an exolight from Clear Sky with a SSP-99 Screen helmet. . .

Is this mod compatible with Blindside's Weapon Reanimation?
With this mod installed some weapons don't have sound in the loading and some others animations.

Yes, used the JSRS compatibility option too.
I have JSRS,BWR and a compatibility patch for BWR to work with JSRS.
Both JSRS and BMR alter weapon_sounds.itx

Wouldn't DLTX work for this?
Moddb.com
DLTX wont be required since the way I am re-working the addon it wont overwrite that config.
DLTX is something that has to be implemented by addon authors none of these addon here use it.
Thx for your time and mod! i will wait for the next version.
New version of mod is here, it now has BWR compatibility
