Texturing modification "Dead Zone" merges you into the atmosphere of deserted and forever abandoned world of Extinction Zone, green grass can be seen only in some locations, but it is not for long. The most powerful emission has occurred in the Zone, and it has changed and submerged in the darkness forever. Dive in the world of Dead Zone and feel the horror and despair.Now Zone is dull, depressive, trees are almost leafless, grass is faded, soil is burnt by radiation, asphalt is absolutely destroyed, everything is rusty from acid rains. Buildings and walls are colorless and dirty, stones around locations are covered with fungi and corrosion. There is only death and radiation everywhere.

Story:
Dead Zone was born in 2012. That time I had created three parts of graphic modification named Apocalypse. And now, 9 years later, I have decided to rejoice you with new graphics modification.
Changes:
Zone is completely retextured, new textures of brick walls, earth, soil, fences, partially concrete, some parts of walls inside the houses, asphalt, grass are created. Zone is completely rusty, all the machinery is remade (rusty), textures of walls and wall parts with windows in Pripyat and Dead City are remade or created new, wall textures in Limansk changed to 2k,4K and 8k resolution. Dirt and rust added to concrete and wall textures. All textures are high resolution.
Optimization:
In the standard for each texture in the thm file, in addition to the prescribed bump, the developers also impose an additional texture of the details on the texture itself, that is, for concrete, they impose a material on the texture that, in their opinion, will make the effect of how concrete should look, but in fact the texture visually becomes worse. I removed this additional material from almost all thm files, so the load on the system is now an order of magnitude less. Accordingly, the fps is higher. Thus, my texture mod loads the system less without losing quality, unlike other texture mods.

Dead Zone was created to play only on DIrectX 10, DirectX 11. On renders below will not work, there will be crashes on memory.

Installation procedure:
- Go to the LINK BASIS "DEAD ZONE," download and copy the files that lie there in the folder with the game\mods. Then go to the LINK LEVELS "DEAD ZONE," go to the folder with the Lost Alpha, select Dead or Summer, download the files that are there and copy to the folder with the game\Mods.

Probably only the cementov's grass sprites mod should be deactivated. :)

The project "DEAD ZONE" is closed. There is no longer any desire and unnecessary means to store a large amount of data.
Hi, in your site I saw that among the files in google drive there is also the file zzzSunRiseDZLA.xdb0 not included in the package. There is only zzzLevelsDZLA.xdb0.
Is the "Sunrise" file an addition or an alternative to the "Levels" file? Thanks!

Probably your pc has some memory management problem because I have 9700K + 32GB 3600Mhz + RTX3080 + 2*nvme and this mod work correctly with LADC and LADCE. Or LADC vanilla has some problems.
Try using LADC + LB's compilation and eventually PRM Merge Mod.

thanks for the reply , no memory issues I ran tm5 memory test , prime 95 , bla bla .
I tried afresh la 1.4.07 no other mods .dragged the 5 files from dead zone in to the mods folder in la DC 1.4.07. start a new game . crash
soon as the la DC .exe in task manager hits over 1500 mb ram usage as it loading a new game bam crash.
I have anomaly running with over 90 mods up to 7 GB RAM usage.

Patch 01/11/2022
The patch includes changes made in previous patches
1. Replaced debris decals, plaster textures, broken bricks and tiles on the ground, asphalt, some concrete textures.
2. New water (dead) and its behavior, new textures of helicopters and APCs.
Installation procedure:
1. Download three files xxxDeadZone.xdb5, xxxDeadZone.xdb6, xxxDeadZone.xdb7 and copy to folder with game\Mods agree with replacement.
