Ever feel like you are seeing too many toolkits lying all over the Zone? Then this addon is for you!
Made for my own modpack, this is an adjustment on the high profile dynamic kit spawns found throughout the game.
All of the toolkits have been removed from the spawns, except for the drug making & gunsmithing kits in order to make stash running more critical in the early game to get your technicians upgraded.
This was made using the base dynamic item spawn ltx so should be friendly with other addons
High profile locations will now spawn:
-Gunsmithing Kit
-Drug Making Kit
-Light Armor Repair Kit
-Medium Armor Repair Kit
-Heavy Armor Repair Kit
-Helmet Repair Kit
-Scientific Medpack
If your wondering what the hell I am talking about these high profile spawns, go check out the incredible map made by Lennic, CyborgCore & Drayt - Imgur.com
Shoutouts to all the amazing Anomaly Devs and creators for making this game endlessly enjoyable :)

I'm live almost every day and we would love to have you :)
I always wondered, do this loose item spawns only work once or they get new items every once in a while? Sorry if this is unrelated to your mod.
in my experience they are a once ever spawn. haven't seen them spawn more than once per save. i could be wrong but i never check a spawn spot more than once a playthru myself
I think i heard loose item respawning mentioned somewhere, but i never saw it in action
I remember during one playthrough, I once found a stash through reading a downed enemy's PDA and I looted it. A few game days later, either another downed enemy's PDA or a new mission pointed to the exact same stash container which contained new loot. IIRC, it was that green container just outside Xenotech's building by the campfire at the Cordon.
That happened only once though, so it could be a pretty rare occurence, I guess. Perhaps a new mission pointing to a stash location might trigger it? YMMV due to the randomness.
damn u lucky man im having trouble finding them
Honestly the toolkit ones are pretty well hidden. The most consistent place ive ever found toolkits are in the concrete pipes scattered around on a path west of the Machine yard in the Great Swamp. I think i've found one in that tent funny enough, but it took me like 6 months+ of playing this game to ever find that they spawned to begin with.
That said, the idea of repair kits being stashed around like that makes much more sense to me anyway. Thanks for the option dude! Great work!
I may have an idea for a better balancing, instead of just deleting the items for kits you could add other items to the lootpool for kits and make the chance for those random items higher.
That is what I did, I enabled only the basic kit for world loot and gave it a value of 1 and added some trash/food/drink items with higher numbers 2-3 to make the chance of a kit to spawn smaller. This way if I have luck I can find a kit but it is still a rarity.
I added in the scientific medpack as an item that could spawn in place of the kits, I am still tweaking with the rarity of things. Also using Enyo's craftable kit along with this I felt works better for what I was looking for.
I dont hate that idea tho. i was just always annoyed that I was finding adv & expert tools at the start of every damn run.
It looks like you have much better luck than me, my fellow stalker, LoL. I'm now on my 7th or 8th run and for each run, especially the expert tools have been really rare and I had to rummage through every nook and cranny for them. One playthrough could see me swimming in basic tools while in desperate need for advanced & expert tools, another playthrough saw me with zero kits to my name for a few game weeks.
My own self-imposed rule is to never allow mechanics to repair or upgrade my stuff, I gotta find or craft everything on my own, which makes the situation much worse but more fun, LoL.
But it's the randomness that I absolutely love about this game, making each run a different experience. This game has great replay value.
Once i learned the high value spots to check in the map i linked I was finding em all the time just wanting to get a repair kit but coming up with Adv & expert tools. if you havent already i highly suggest giving it a once over.
Yeah, I've given the maps a good look-over (nicely done, btw). I'm sure I've been to all of the marked locations. I only have very rudimentary knowledge about stalker scripting but still, if I've interpreted the loot scripts correctly, I think the spawns are still randomised?
So either Lady Luck is not smiling on my dice rolls, or it's probably some forgotten spawn mod that I've installed.. or my game has been possessed by the monolith shard, shudder. But thanks for the heads-up, I appreciate it :)
yea its a roll of the dice every time, there are some times when the spots are barren and others when they bear fruit. Tis the will of the Zone.
