A modpack/total conversion based on Old World Addon aimed at updating and improving visual, sound and gameplay design without compromising OWA's classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. feel.
Old World Redux is a modpack/conversion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly based on Old World Addon with the goal of updating and improving the game's visual and sound design, as well as adding many quality of life changes and addons intended to increase immersion and improve progression. Old World Redux seeks to further refine the gameplay and atmosphere of Old World Addon while maintaining it's classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. feel.
Old World Redux has only been tested in 1080p on a 16:9 display in English, I cannot confirm whether other resolutions/aspect ratios/languages work as intended.

INSTALLATION:
- Unpack all contents of the .rar to a clean installation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly 1.5.2
- Do NOT restore the default user.ltx in the launcher as doing so will break the game's shaders.
FEATURES/CHANGES:
- New weapons imported from Simple/Modern weapons pack
- Restored accurate weapon names.
- Improved stealth system
- Overhauled VFX for weapons, explosions, anomalies, etc.
- Unmarked stashes are much rarer, and marked stashes will have increased loot to compensate.
- Weapon condition is more important, weapons will jam more often
- New animations for using items/communicating with squad mates. There is a middle finger keybind.
- Summer to Autumn textures, improved skyboxes.
- Updated english localization
- Zver HUD
- Crook's faction identification
- Screen space reflections and improved color grading and shaders without the use of Reshade.
- Warfare and Story mode are now compatible with one another.
- Knifeable containers will break in one hit.
- Player created stashes will now have a differently colored icon to differentiate them on the PDA.
- Many features fully configurable within the MCM.
- Many more, smaller changes, a full modlist can be found in the README included in the mod download.

Modpack remakes, this has been a while… Also what’s funny in that one is that you remove the essence of Old World with your « Redux ». Next up what’s it gonna be, Old World BAS and Tacticool Guns Redux? Reminds me of this community ages ago when EFP and GAMMA weren’t existing and we were seeing new modpacks and remakes of modpacks daily… with little care about crediting other people’s work. Here atleast you credited modders, but without detailing which addon nor the addons links…

Sorry it's not to your taste. Would it be more to your liking if the progression was 10x slower? Maybe, I should change the color grading to exclude all colors besides variations of brown, grey and green.
As far as crediting goes, there's a full list of included addons with their authors in the readme. Didn't want to clutter the MDB page. :)

Love the idea here! Tried it out last night and was having some performance issues although they may be related to the number of AI.
In rostok and army warehouses I was encountering huge packs of dogs and massive freedom squads that I think were tanking my performance. Any thoughts?

2) Have you by any chance fixed an unpleasant bug with the ability to sell / throw away the "heart of the oasis"?
3) Are the new weapons imported from the Simple/Modern Weapons Pack anything other than original weapons? Or is it just new textures and model variants for original guns from other packs?

After checking the weapon_addons.ltx file in the file path (OldWorldRedux_v1.0.1.rar\gamedata\configs\items\weapons\), I was sad to see the blue acog is also missing in this Redux version, just like in the original addon. :(

This is amazing, I seriously hope this becomes as big as EFP and GAMMA. I would love to have this be a modular base for a classic Stalker feeling with a bit more tuning for weapons and visuals.
Even so, I've had pretty good success using MO2 over the top of this and adding a few more mods, like Atmospherics and some textures. I also swapped in the Dark Signal animated main menu (Zaper's), the Redux one is a bit low quality imo.

The addon downscales the number of items in the game to the amount present in the original trilogy to bring Anomaly closer to vanilla stalker.
