Description

Welcome to the shores of hell, the place many tormented souls call 'home'. You will have never seen anything like it. And once you're here, you can't leave. Enjoy your stay, since time no longer exists here. You will he here a while.. **This is a VEHICULAR DEATHMATCH that does NOT use the VS-Over-ride actor. This simply meant, vehicals do NOT respawn until they are destroyed, and the bot's AI actually seems to work better. **

I actually started this level in early to mid 2004, and only recently decided to upload it. Its still a work in progress, and one of the first levels I started planning, but needless to say, alot of time went into this.

The idea was to freeze those events, and send the people into hell. (Yes, you are in Hell, on the very edge)
The pentigrams are the start points, or spawn points, whichever term you like, really. Not all player starts are marked by pentigrams, but I thought that might be an interesting concept, just like the platforms that vehicals spawn on. I had all sorts of ideas, including
references from Doctor Who, such as the TARDIS, but I did not include that cuz of potential legal problems that may result in doing so. I've also concidered including scenes that include the rocket launcher or Flak Cannon from the original Unreal Tournament (UT99), or the Minigun or Eightball from he first Unreal. Basically, something that would be immediatly recongnized from past Unreal titles. (I especially loved the Minigun design from Unreal1) Halo weapons was also a possibility, but I understand that would require special permission from Microsoft, so I will not attempt to port those into the level.
As for the use of vehicals, I try to keep the balance of power as equal as I could. I made the AVRiL fairly easy to come by, but health is somewhat scarce, but I made up for that a little with adrenaline. (Note: Hitting the eye on top of the pyramid with certain projectiles will cause an Ion tank to spawn close to the base)
The concept, I tried to use when I was mapping for Shadow Warrior (didn't work out worth a damn) so when UT2004 came out, I made the jump to Unreal Ed. I was hoping this would make a lasting impression on the community, maybe even spark a few ideas for future levels. I will update this level ONE time, so I hope to hear a few opinions, and go from there.

The TARDIS is stuck as an old Police Box. Even the BBC do not hold copyright to that design. Feel free to use it all you wish. The TARDIS does not have TARDIS written on it, so there is nothing to distinguish it from a real one (image-search Google, and you'll find a huge amount of fan-made replicas).

Any issues regarding the Halo weapons can be avoided by you just adding the download info to the read-me (the same method used for years to avoid the licensing issue with GIF format).
Just call it a pre-requisite to play the map. Same as if your map relies on something from any other addon pack.

*The map I am working on for UT99 will require the player to install another 2 weapons packs, as I do not want to include them in my distro.

Good point. I don't remember where I saw that the BBC had that copywritten, but a disclaimer would make sense. Could change it to a red police box, too, just to be different.
I was hoping to get alot more feedback on the level, but I might import UT3 weapons to replace some of UT2004's, like the sniper rifle, or stinger minigun.

This level is awesome. Some of the sound effects were kinda creepy, but if this is hell, I would expect that. Can't wait for the finished version!
