A small mod I started making to customize my experience of Project Brutality 3.0. Mostly includes weapon skins, with a few other tweaks.
I started making this mod when i had almost no experience modding doom, or any game for that matter. But my "skill" in sprite editing has evolved with this mod, and some people in discord seemed to like it so i have decided to put it up for the public to download.
the following is a non-exhaustive list of what this addon changes:
- adds weapon skins for the pistol, revolver, SMG, autoshotgun, super shotgun, DMR, minigun, carbine, and HMG.
- new weapon sound for the pistol
- new menu icons
WIP list/things i plan to add at some point:
- new weapon sounds for all reskinned weapons
- weapon skins for the alternate modes for the pistol and HMG
- weapon skin for the shotgun
-custom font (i had one, but the way PB font was laid out was changed and i dont know how to convert it)
- different sounds for some world objects
- fixes for the array of bugs present
contents/installation
the ZIP file contains the main file and an addon that makes the SMG reskin sideways, yo.
To install, simply load the main file (and the SMG addon, if you so choose) after your Project Brutality file. It is an addon, so the main file is still required.
PLEASE NOTE: this is a WIP based on a WIP, and does not represent the final product of Project Brutality 3.0!

those sprites are awesome
1. Revolver reload animation a littlr glitchy) Please, fix this
2. Pistol sprites with slinger doesn't changed
3. HMG sprites on nailgun mode doesn't changed, reload and pickup animations glitchy too
4. Fix UZI pickup animation or I'm gonna **** ur ***!
To fix all this, the addon would be awesome!
I have some sprites for a silenced version of the pistol, and i had an idea for a nailgun version of the HMG reskin where it has a buzzsaw coming out of the top, but i ****** it up so i'd have to redo it. As for the reload glitches, I may be able to fix them with some tweaking, but for the pickup glitching, i have no clue why it spazzes around. Sorry.
wat version of gzdoom do have to use
I would say at least version 3.0, but it shouldnt be any different from what you would use to run PB.
The GZDOOM ports always has to be at the 3.0+ or else you'll have errors saying so on startup.
im using 3.3.0 and it just goes into normal doom 2
You're supposed to load this with PB 3.0.

doesnt work the pistol has broken textures
things dont work right.
Man all you lucky peeps with PB 3.0...while us average common joes know nothing about it and apparently due to some drama based on the maker of Brutal Doom and PB it's all being kept under wraps.
Why can you not play PB3?
PB 3.0 is available you just have to find it, and it's a TEST version, so not everything is complete.

I guess this won't work with PB 2.03, right?
some of it might, but most of it is based off of 3.0 only things so you might only get some of the features.

Terrible, The original BDV21 with Tom Tefar's 1.11 Extension still wins all.
Adapt, improve, synergise, expand, win.
LOVE THE assault rifle skin without dual wield. Improve the dual wield texturing
on the dual assault rifle mode to keep the texturing consistent with the single
rifle mode, otherwise it looks weird.

hello, it didn't work for me. I even tried to use it together with brutalv21.pk3 but it didn't work, it just changed the game font
