Pick your casings after a gunfight. MCM compatible
This mod spawns casings when you shoot a weapon, so you can pick em up and use as bolts or sell to Sidorovich lol
Basically only rifles starting from 5.45 caliber will start to spawn casings, since they are more aligned with the world model. Shotguns don't spawn casings also. Spawning is reduced for weapons with high rpm in order to not bloat alife table with items.

UPDATE 4: Added optional patch for mod which disables shell particles and alters position of casings, so they will fly straight from the ejection port of the guns. DLTX is required for this patch to work. Includes BaS extension for this patch
UPDATE 3: Added velocity on casings spawn so now they will properly fly out of the gun and never fall perfectly on the bottom, yay
UPDATE 2: Added a bit of randomization in position of dropping of casings.
UPDATE 1: Added all possible options in MCM, so you can choose what calibers and what chances to use to spawn

******* grand idea, actually - might pick this up together with the bullet casing sounds addon if that's still around. Would it be easy to edit the addon to spawn casings from all weapons?

You can open zz_pick_your_casings.script file and on lines 11-25 there is list of blacklisted calibers, just comment them and all weapons will be allowed to spawn. you might leave knife, binoc and last 4 ones though, because if you dont even rpg-7 and gauss will start to spawn them :)

Can you tell me how to disable the lifting of cartridges? I just want to see the shells on the ground without being able to take them (for my style of play, this is an imbalance :) By the way, thank you, a cool addon!

I would like to ask the author of the add-on to add to the script the ability to register each type of ammunition with its own case 3d model.
Do you know how to add a model of a red cartridge case of a 12mm cartridge when shooting from a shotgun?
If the script allowed to separately register a model for each caliber, it would be possible to search for a 3d model of a shotgun cartridge

Yes, this dude is damn right! I think many people would not mind making this feature optional, because otherwise other NPCs during the battle will be distracted by raising their shells!)) Or are they ignoring them?
the bullets will spawn in a standing position. As if someone put them down, although they should exactly be lying down. Can this be fixed?
unfortunately its not possible to set the velocity of objects, so casings spawn with 0 speed and fall exactly to the bottom

I have two small bugs to report: .357 magnum isn't on the pistols blacklist, and a typo on the general blacklist leads to the RPG-7 dropping cartridges. It says "og-7" but I don't know how to fix it.
Compatibility patch/feature idea: replace the bullet casing (alternative to bolt item) with the bullet casing crafting item from Arti's Ammo Maker. Not sure if it'd work the same but I'd assume it'd be as simple as changing the item spawned from casing (bolt item) to casing (crafting item) and keeping things like velocity etc.
Edit: The issue would be that guns with large caliber ammo vs small caliber ammo would need specific items, so that'd actually be a bit more complicated. And modded guns would have difficulty.
If you or someone else does decide to implement this, I'd suggest the default for other modded weapons being casing (bolt item) in case you can't manually change it.
hello is there any mods where case ejection is 3d models instead of 2d? as this is the only mod for casings so i thought maybe i should ask here
