This is a rifle upgrader for Brutal Doom v21 Gold in the form of the UAC 30 DMR from Project Brutality 2.03. Which I made on the tail-end of a weekend of learning DECORATE as part of a modding/combining spree, after a dream where I saw a mod of this on here, only to look it up and only find a rifle skin/sound replacement with the black version of the DMR, and nothing else.

@IDDQD_1337: His Phalanx SFR-T3 addon for the DECORATE this mod was based on, modified heavily of course.
@⋆Ƅarge™: His Sniper Rifle v2 mod that I reverse-engineered to figure out how he got the M55 to be treated as an upgrader to the M50 rather than as additional or a replacement, and applying the newfound knowledge to get this mod to work as intended.
SLADE: For me discovering how Doom sprites have positioning data that I have to manually adjust using the application, much to my pain and misery.
ChebMaster: For making a remaster of Extermination Day that only runs on BDv21 Gold, which motivated me to start learning DECORATE (And a little bit of ACS) on the fly, as I bashed a ton of other, disparate weapon addons together that otherwise don't play together because of spawners because I didn't want to give up a PB-like experience to play through it, leading to a mod list that looks like the grocery receipt from Hell, but somehow actually works.
PS: The spawn rate from RifleZombieman drops is RIFLE 128, DMR 8; and the spawnerreplacer in case the map plops rifles on it directly is 12 to 128, probably...
(I still don't 100% know how the MARN part works.)
It's purpose as an upgrade rather than a full replacement means the Assault rifle will remain as the early-mid-game workhorse, without either giving the player a Hellknight-slayer right at the start, or "overloading the scroll" with redundancy if you've got a bajillion other additional weapon mods loaded in your Brutal Doom playthrough (like I have).
So yeah, get to popping the Imps and Zombiemen in their ramparts from the start outside the Hell Noble's big mansion with the Bowser's castle remix-sounding music in the background.
EDIT: Forgot to remove a stray sound file that was being used for testing.
EDIT 2: Slight damage buff, added the BRIGHT flag to the pickup, cleaned up select/deselect animations, removed an unused frame. (Also, thanks stranger for making me realize I forgot to mention that the spawn code is summon DMRSpawner)
EDIT 3: Now includes a version for the BDv21 Expansion (.14.1 anyway, probably works on older ones) and tweaked the spawning odds for both versions. It should not take a mere 3 maps on average into EDAY to end up with one anymore. (Now probably 7 to 12 maps in, estimated from the number of times I spammed "summon RifleDrop" into the console.)
EDIT 4: Fixed two serious bugs with reloading. And got the "on-map" spawners to work properly for the Gold version.
EDIT 4.1: Whoops, don't know how that happened. Shouldn't error out now. On a side note, I learned DooM really enforces that sprites must have a 4 character prefix. New modders, make of that what you will.

I never played PB, can you explain how does this work?
In Project Brutality some weapons you pick up replace existing weapons in inventory with an upgraded variant. In here there are some mods for regular Brutal Doom like Barge's sniper rifles, the Platinum Nailgun backport, and the Quad Shotgun (personal fav) that work on the same principles.
will you make more upgrades mod? i have seen not a single mod that adds upgrades in brutal doom

Go ahead. RN I am working on other things atm. Mainly backporting the silenced pistols from Moddb.com to base v21 gold as a standalone addon, I already fixed a number of issues it had, but I am taking it for a test drive through a whole wad first to make sure it doesn't make the game wet itself. Don't want a repeat of what happened when I first uploaded this rifle without doing a full playtest first.
