[Old World Addon] Tweaks and fixes [22 Apr 2024]

Description

As you may have noticed, some weapons in OWA ignore the ironsights zoom factor parameter set to 1 in the game's UI menu and still have a magnification, when you aim through them. This fix resolves this issue and several others (Read a changelog for more info).

Installation

Step 1) Drag and drop, with an overwrite, a gamedata from <Main> folder to the root folder of the game.

Step 2 (Optional)) Select the desired option from <Optional> folder, then drag and drop a gamedata, with an overwrite, to the root folder of the game.

Optional

1) <Vintorez, Gauss, Val, Sin's AK shot sound fix> - replaced/fixed gunshot sounds in VANILLA [1.5.2] OLD WORLD ADDON for the following weapons:

• wpn_vintorez/wpn_vintorez_nimble (replaced) - the sound of the shot was similar to a wpn_pb/wpn_pm. Was replaced by the sound of a wpn_val.
• wpn_gauss/wpn_gauss_greh (replaced) - removed the electromagnets' charging sound after wpn_gauss' shot to avoid overlapping sounds, when the increased rpm upgrade was installed/replaced wpn_gauss_greh' shot sound with a less stretched one.
• wpn_val/wpn_aksinr (fixed) - a mix of several sounds was weird.

2) <OWA Full Upgrades + Fix> - fixed wpn_g36' and wpn_gauss' upgrade trees in FULL UPGRADE OF WEAPONS AND ARMOR FOR [1.5.2] OLD WORLD ADDON (for wpn_g36 it was impossible to install x16 magnification, adjustable zoom, auto-target acquisition upgrades, for wpn_gauss it was impossible to install increased rpm and magazine size upgrades). Also in the <mod_system_full_upgrades.ltx> file, unnecessary lines were cleaned and all objects were sorted into groups.

Note: Don't forget to install THEMRDEMONIZED' MODIFIED EXES first, if you're going to play with FULL UPGRADE OF WEAPONS AND ARMOR FOR [1.5.2] OLD WORLD ADDON.

Changelog

1) All weapons have had their magnification completely removed, when aiming through a mechanical sight.

2) The attached silencer no longer affects weapons stats (hit power, bullet speed, hit impulse, dispersion).

3) Replaced/fixed upgrade schemes for the following weapons (Before--->After):

• wpn_wincheaster1300 (mossberg590--->wincheaster1300)
• wpn_fort_snag (usp--->fort)
• wpn_sig220_nimble (usp--->sig220)
• wpn_walther (pm--->walther)
• wpn_g36 (fixed optic's upgrade lines)
• wpn_gauss (fixed first line upgrade scheme)

4) Restored/changed the fire modes of the following weapons:

• wpn_svu_nimble (full-auto restored)
• wpn_abakan (single round shot restored)
• wpn_groza_nimble (3-round burst removed. You need to install an upgrade first)

5) Changed magazine sizes for the following weapons (as was the case in the Stalker trilogy):

• wpn_sig550 (20--->30)
• wpn_vintorez (15--->10)

6) Removed the ability to install a silencer on wpn_walther (you need to install an upgrade first).

7) Fixed CTD with military trader at Cordon.

8) Removed increased weapon wear when using certain types of ammunition (ammo types no longer affects weapons degradation rates) .

9) Changed reliability for some types of weapons (especially noticeable when firing in bursts from wpn_tiss/wpn_ak74u and wpn_ak74).

10) Fixed missing wpn_walther 's shot sound, when shooting with a silencer installed.
