Overhauls old ammo and changes them to be different from the normal ammo. Version 1.2. For 1.5.1

Normal files still work, but the patch files (Grok's Ballistic Overhaul, Provaks Weapon Overhaul etc.) are outdated so you're going to have make your own patches for them.

Changed 7.62x51 BPZ FMJ to Ultra Nosler (Lower Armor-pierce, higher tissue damage).

Added optional trader files to make them sell and buy old ammo.
Included patches for Boomstick & Sharpsticks 1.5.1, Trader Overhaul 1.26 (Outfit and B&S versions included) and VanillaTradeFixes.
If added to a existing save you have to wait for the trader resupply for them to appear.

We have a ammo wheel so might a well use all of it. I almost never used old ammo for anything else that selling them for money.
All old ammo expect old explosives and gauss have been changed to something different than the original "new" ammo. also removed the extra damage to condition when firing them (few exceptions).
Optional files for traders added. Without them you most likely get them by looting dead stalkers or breaking boxes.
Also doesn't change icons or any textures.

Also changed the armor performance standard to GOST (Pre-2017) from NIJ
nothing real changes other than the text classifying the highest pierce-able armor class
Armor classes goes from: Class 1 to 6A (lowest - highest)

This is a proof of concept. feel free to make your own edits and patches and upload them.
I wanted to make this mod for myself and felt like uploading it so here you have it.
Nothing is balanced just spitballed looking at some eft ammo tables. No ammo was made up just looked up for information about them.
Where to install
Copy ammo overhaul gamedata folder to main game folder
Optional files - Install the Mods you want then apply the patches after that. Patches won't work without the required mods.
Use Mod Organizer 2 for easier mod management
Compatability:
inheritly compatable with Boomstick & Sharpsticks.
the ammo file has the B&S ammos in them already.
propably wont break if used in with vanilla only, but what do i know?

To get rid of "Old" prefix in front of the old ammo i had to edit ui_item_script:

didn't find other way to do it so...
Optional files changes:
configs/items/trade/presets/trade_presets.ltx - line 1960: [Supplier] removed ammo_bad so you can sell old ammo to everyone that buys ammo.
configs/items/trade/ - Most traders that sell ammo have been changed.

interesting mod you've done, it is always nice this kind of idea to put new ammo variations to use instead of junk ammo, but there is something i must tell you about, if you try to upgrade the Kar 98K sniper to use 7.62mmx51 ammo (and silencer support) the game crashes, tried to upgrade again without your mod and it didn't crash, so there definitely is an issue with K98 upgrading

yeah its working fine with boom sticks , blind sides over haul , jsrs , trader over haul , sepertaed back packs fine for me mid game . vary cool love new ammo types
You Intend To Rebalance Prices For The Ammo? Cause Its Odd That .45 ACP AP Is Half The Price Of Normal .45 Same With 5.45 BS Being Cheaper Than Normal 5.45.
How do I install the patch for Grok's Balistics Overhaul? Do I install both the old ammo addon and the patch or just the patch?

this mod still works with bas , anomaly magzines , and 140 mods with out issues . i like it cause i can use old ammo with out always selling it :)
QUESTION FOR CREATOR
using this mod and i use old ammo does it damage my gun like old ammo does from venila anomaly or does using old ammo not damagee my gun with this mod ?
No i changed them to do same damage to the gun as the normal ammo
so old ammo doesn't break you gun as fast as vanilla.

Did something happen to break this mod? Whenever I activate it, it simply crashes on launch.
