Makes NPCs run away if their surrounding enemies are much stronger.
Description
Was always feels weird when one bandit with a pistol rushes into a squad of exos or 5 chimeras. This should fix it.
Calculates power of all friends and enemies in certain radius, compares it and makes one side flee if their enemies around are much stronger. Works only on random simulation stalkers. Has some MCM options for customization (some more descriptions also there) and thanks to demonized for panic scheme.
You can further change the power if you don't like defaults in npc_fleeing.script tables here (also add more factions that won't flee):
!!! There was some bug in earlier versions that made my game freeze and I possibly know why, but I could not replicate it later for a long time. Maybe I accidentally fixed it, maybe not, seems to be very rare tho. Just wanted to warn, in case you meet a similar bug please report, ty ;]
Hopefully compatible with everything and can install/uninstall whenever.

- NPCs smoke grenade usage xd Change chances here if you want, MCM only has option to turn on/off. It doesn't really help them too much, more of a cosmetic thing.

- Make farthest NPC to cover the rest of squad for some time while fleeing (with MCM option for time).

This makes a lot of sense and is a great addition. Kinda weird to think that it took this long for somebody to make it.
bro can you make them shoot while retreating? Just seeing them running away is a bit boring.
How xd I mean I can try to make 1 guy to sometimes stop and cover the rest of his team while they flee.

Another smart terrain that is closer to them than to enemies. MCM has options for the minimum distance to flee.

The idea is great, but there should be potential issues, like if you are wearing a noso almost all the enemies will flee. It's a game, sometimes it's fun even to use the Gauss to shoot a bandit with a knife.
Where did you get the idea of everyone flee when you wear the nosorog? ;]
It's based on rank and community. It's more of an immersion thing, if someone like NPCs to be dummies to shoot - I'm not forcing anyone to install it ;p

Странно, разве они изначально не убегают? У меня как раз недавно 1 бандит убегал от 7-ми химер, на меня их навёл. Его сожрали и на меня набросились.
Редко и чаще всего на 5 метров, потом возвращаются и опять убегают и так бесконечно. Да и работает это только если прям перевес один к 10.

Probably, get more companions or decrease giant strength in the table (description screenshot, giant is last with value of "5").
Or just increase first MCM option.

Question though. Possible to write a script where you don't get that annoying hunger, thirst, or sleepiness while in combat? Last thing on my mind if I was fighting a mutant lol. Maybe based off the script where you can't fast travel because when's are nearby? Just a thought! Thank you again!

I could imagine one of the NPCs giving fire support for the rest of them retreading.
I could imagine throwing a grenade (if in inventory) before retreading.
I could imagine hiding in the retreaded smart terrain position behind a crate / taking cover for a few minutes before getting back to "wandering" around the map.
I could imagine searching for friendly NPCs in the nearest location and call them in for support.
I could imagine instead of always running away, there's a chance to surrender (if it's not a fight against mutants).

a mod that does this is long overdue, great idea and execution!
I installed it manually and started a new game, picked up a "save the stalker" quest and my follower jumped between 5 zombies to melee them with his double barrel shotgun.
...came back to the mod page and re-read the description: the part "Works only on random simulation stalkers" means that it does not apply to companions/followers???

Wdym jumped? Sounds like a normal anomaly scheme called facer, where NPC go to mutant and does melee hit with weapon. Does not sound like it has anything to do with this addon. And yes if your companion is random simulation stalker it'll work on them.
By "jumped" i mean he rushed into FIVE zombies to melee them.
He was instantly surrounded and got killed.
I was hoping that with this addon he now knows how to count and to assess the danger factor and thus keep his distance away from the obvious danger.
But yeah, now that i think about it, the scrips is made for fleeing, not to better assess the danger.
