Description

This should make it so that you retrieve all possible body parts when skinning a mutant. For example If you kill a boar, you're gonna get all 4 legs. This mod is definitely very overpowered and can get you rich quick, but you're free to do whatever you please in your single-player game. I won't judge. This is my first mod for any game so results may vary

OP but realistic. I mean come on, you just killed a ******* controller and you only decided to skin it scalp? In reality, killing a controller or a pseudogiant is like a legendary achievement. Everyone will decide to carry the whole body instead of some parts to sell it to the scientist. Thank you for this mod comrade!

It's not necessarily realistic. When you kill an animal, not all parts are going to be viable. Some parts will be damaged, perhaps ridden with holes and foreign bodies from your bullets, bones may be broken, hides may be torn, etc. Even with clean kills, some body parts may be in poor condition because the creature may be diseased or suffered injuries prior. They may also not be valuable because the animal is immature or it may be lacking a desired trait that makes the part in high demand.

What would be more realistic is if parts had durability, and the amount of shots you've put into the animal will affect that durability. Red Dead Redemption 2 had something a bit like this. Hides in STALKER Anomaly already have durability, but I think it's random, unaffected by the player's actions.

If you're able to make two versions. One like it is and other that you need the Hunter's Kit to be able loot the whole mutant.

All in all, good addon, my good sir.

To be honest, this addon is really ******* realistic pro most time it take for ever to find all parts you need for a quest and if any one dont like makeing game be so easy he can simply minimize the part prices to the lowest cost its not a big deal

Can the engine only have a fixed number of mutant body parts or can it be randomized? If it can be randomized, why not just increase the maximum number of mutant bodies? For example: 1-4 boar paws, 1-2 Snork legs, 1-2 hands of someone, etc.... Like dead stalkers. This would be a simulation of a damaged body part unsaleable or simply a diseased body part (especially natural mutants - boars, dogs, cats...).

And if you want to take on scripting, you could also take into account which bodypart was shot with npc_on_before_hit(npc,****,bone_id,flags) callback. E.g. you shoot the head enough and controller scalp is broken and doesn't show up in looting.
