This mod fixes the badly positioned terrain material mask in Meadow.
Works In Anomaly, Gamma, EFP etc, in every mod packs where the mask file is not overwritten.
Best to place it at highest priority tho.

I re-uploaded the file with DXT5 compression, now the uncompressed file size is reduced by 75%.

Now meadow has less of that "meadow" map quality (aka unfinished map for anomaly).

What's wrong with it?
It's unfinished. Especially the area around the village part. Many more empty streets unpopulated.
I was just joking tho. I don't think I will do it. It's obvious to me that Meadow was an unfinished and abandoned old map. And the Anomaly team didn't finish it (no offense)
I think you should do it man would give us a reason to go there and I'm sure the Re:Done mod dude would populate it!

No new game needed. This is just a simple terrain mask texture that fixes the position of terrain ground textures.

It was my thought too: that most people didn't even notice it.
But we, (dare I say?) 'level designers' see things differently. We notice every little flippin' issue, mistake and error. And it's bad. Because with our stuff we always see the issues XD
This is why it's hard to release something. Somewhere You have to draw a stop line unless our maps will never be finished.
My advice is to see it yourself, check in several places, especially on the village road, and the roads on the hill. And then isntall my mod.
The thing is that I'm doing similar stuff on my maps, so I thought it'd be nice to fix it finally ;-)

Well, only now did I got back to Meadow; indeed, now I know, it’s pretty obvious, while I would have never noticed otherwise ! Would not be a huge issue anyway, but still a pleasing fix nonetheless ! I also like this map, too bad it did not get more love, it’s well-made, but small and often empty.
As for uncompressed texture, as stated in latest comments, would it have any impact on the game fluidity ? Should be unnoticeable, I would suppose ? Even more since, as you said, it’s just a «sortof» normal map.
It hurts my eyes so much, that I saw a screenshot on Gamma discord nowadays, and I immediately recognized it and I couldn't get over it..
For the second part of your comment: I updated the file with a compressed one, now the size is jusz 25%

Is there really supposed to be an asphalt road there? Of course, I understand that in Europe all villages have asphalt roads, but certainly not in Russia. However, it certainly looks better.
The road was there, only the whole terrain material mask was shifted with idk 5m or sg. It could be sg else, it's just a colour change, and it can be sand or sg.
My experience is tho that this asphalt road is perfectly legit for a main street in a village in eastern Europe XD
I'll have to see what the meadow looks like. Despite the fact that I have already visited this location 20 times, I can’t remember whether there were bugs with the road or not.
It's funny, these issues. I do similar work on my map, jobs which YOu and most of the poeple wouldn't notice. But if I wouldn't do them, then it will be noticable for sure.
This is how these things go. Most of the things will be unnoticed, but will only be subconscious, or peripheral. But adds to the immersion anyway.
And a small mistake can ruin tons of work easily.
It makes sense to adjust the terrain mask position, because shooting at the ground where the asphalt was supposed to be (but wasn't before this mod) would give off asphalt impact fx and sounds.
Meadow kinda strange map honestly, not only bugs, its itself very strange, its tiny and looks like multiplayer map slapped into singleplayer.
I kinda like it. I mean it's clearly unfinished, but who planned it initially (the overall layout) had clear vision, and created a believable location, with all his heart put into it. ONly it couldn't be finished, which is sad.
The terrain mask, roads etc helps to imagine the continuation, but still, it would be a though job.
I like that there is that factory complex, and a nearby village for the workers...
The overally terrain alyout is exciting and interesting. I see potential in it
I checked, there really is such a bug, but it’s not as obvious to me as it is on the screenshots. But I'll still use your fix because it looks better, thanks! Fallen leaves on the road with parallax look funny, they seem to be hanging in the air:)
P.S. By the way, should the road texture really be 16mb?

About the leaves: nice catch! You know it's funny, that I was aware of this new feature, but I have so little time for playing, that I only noticed on these screenshots that it's activated!!!

Oh, You mean the mask file? Sorry, I forgot to compress it... it's not a texture tho, and it's not rendered in game, so maybe it's not a big problem. It's just a 'map' which shows the engine what terrain material texture to render where.
Maybe I'll compress it later, if the crowd and the mighty Grok desires it...

Yepp.
Method A
1. start the game with developer mode
2. type in console: demo_record 1
3. move around with the mouse and WSAD keys
4. hit enter when You reach the desired destination
5. enjoy the restricted areas

1. decompile the given map
2. delet the clipping invisible walls at level borders
3. recompile the map
4. enjoy the restricted areas

2. Goto 1

Good addon, I have an idea and that is to make the ****** door of the base of duty that does not let you just go to where the trader is on the ground and broken so there is an easier entry, is it possible? could you make a fix like that?

That would require to decompile the map (since the original map sources are nowhere to be found). That is a painful procedure already and at decompile most likely lot of things are damaged and get broken, so the recompile would make a lot of issues. Only way would be to only change the geometry of the map, and not the spawn elements. So the custom ma would only have geometry, and it would use the original Anomaly spawn/AI etc elements.
I'm not into this kind of task right now... recompiling a huge complex map would take days maybe.
There is a guy on Gamma discord, 'krairon' 'kryrion' is the names he runs on, he makes map 'remixes' ask him. Since maybe he already plans to rework that map, he could make this change.
