Description:
- Just a simple retexture of the in-game PDA. I always thought that the original ones were too bland so I decided to make my own. My goal is to make something minimalistic and simple that doesn't stray too far from vanilla textures. Although I did made some alternatives ones that I personally like.
- There are 4 versions for each PDA. What changes between them is the level of detail added and how bright/dark you want your pda to look like.There's also the option to stay with vanilla textures.
- You can also choose the color of the battery display, at the moment I only have 2 extra colors. I can add more if requested.
If there's anything broken (most likely by me using FOMOD for the first time) let me know in the comments.
Compatibility:
- Shouldn't conflict with any addon unless you already use a pda retexture. If you want to use some of the textures added by this mod. Then simply select "vanilla" when installing and delete later "item_pda2.dds" for PDA v1, "item_pda2_blue.dds" for PDA v2 and "item_pda2_black.dds" for PDA v3.
Installation:
- MO2: Install like any other mod, follow the FOMOD installer instructions. Done.
- Manual: From the "Optionals" folder, select what textures you want and paste them in "gamedata\textures\item\item_pda2" folder and "gamedata\textures\ui" for the battery icons.
Future Plans:
- Add MCM options for swapping textures in-game and remove FOMOD (if possible).
- Add Icons that ressemble a given texture.
- Make world model textures resemble those added by this mod.
- Make each pda texture has its own unique battery life icon.

When I tested it in-game I was blown away too hahaha.
Here's an idea.
You can make a camouflage pda texture for each faction.
And here's another idea: With each improvement in the pda, it became darker
You can make the first pda pure white to look like the pda from the shadow of Chernobyl, the second pda is pure grey, and the last 3 is pure black.
I was thinking about making a faction based texture, like what FDDA does with its backpacks. Though I would need to learn more about coding in order to do that.
I tried providing more white versions of the first pda.The reason I made them darker is because that was my goal at first. But I can make that a thing, coming up next update.

what mod do you use for the gloves?
I use THAP Rework v2.1 (https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/thap-rework) and EFT Hands for T.H.A.P (I think its no longer in ModDB).
The one you see in the screenshots is a modified version of the file act_arm_scav1.dds. I'm planning on releasing a DLTX pack of all the hands textures I've done (military,Loner and merc).
