A large, circular arena set in a late afternoon mountain range. Blast your way through the zeds in the mountain arena!
Mountain Arena plunges players into a large circular arena with a lush mountain backdrop. The arena is a maze full of clutter, paths, platforms, crashed vehicles and much more.
A lot of attention to detail was put into populating the map with models and debris to ensure it does not feel empty or void of content, despite being an arena-style map. It feels dynamic and alive, with visual fidelity everywhere you look while still remaining very spacious for freedom of movement.
The map uses only models and textures from the official Tripwire maps, but there there are a few custom destructibles, such as shootable oxygen tanks and explosive fuel tanks that burn anyone (or anything) that gets close after detonation.
NOTE:
For some reason the trader paths are being really wonky, sometimes not working in certain areas. I have scoured the map up, down, left and right to find the problem but I just can't. The navmesh is complete and there are no missing nodes anywhere, and all the pods are on valid surfaces.
It seems to only occur randomly and in specific areas, so I have no idea what is causing this and have given up trying to fix it for now. If I figure it out, or if anyone might know what it could be, I would love to get it fixed in v2.

Overall I like the look and feel of the map. It's a fun, open environment, great lighting and large size. The gas cylinders that explode/catch fire is a cool effect. I also got stuck somewhere (I see Razz also got this), and lucky I had a team mate there. Somehow I get loose by a fleshpound whack, but I was stuck a good 3 minutes. With this it definitely can't be put on server rotation. Also the trader paths didn't work properly. I see you are struggling to find a fix for it, maybe other map designers can help with this. Apart from those 2 issues, the map itself is fun.

I'll have to jump in and take a screenshot. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to explain :) I'll try tomorrow.
This is one of the more popular maps on my servers. My one problem is a bloat/scrake getting stuck in the trader area inside the office. Another is zeds getting stuck by the train in front of the police car.
Also you might want to put V2 on here since there is a problem with servers deranking after the tanks explode in V1.
