Yea that is something that needs to be addressed. Ideally an animation should play with you checking firemode, but I can't animate and devs said in 1.6(or 1.7?) they will do weapon stuff more, I can try to ask the guy who made the ammo check mod and see if its possible to make that but for firemode.
Btw, if you want it on your hud instead of me writing a script similar to the ammo check mod, then you can go to config/ui/maingame_16.xml find the static_fire_mode" section (row 225) and change X value to "988" and Y value to "734"

Nice mod. But can we enable stamina,psi and hp pool just to not be in such a hardcore mode ;)

Like I said above, you can go to config/ui/maingame_16.xml and change some of the variables if you need some specific help on where's what and what's what then tell me, but most of the variables are pretty understandable.

Health, Stamina, and Psi bars are part of ui_actor_hint_wnd.dds, not manigame.xml. Check my comment below for details on how to edit it.

Which line do i edit to get stamina bar back? progress_bar_stamina is almost unchanged compared to the original.

I figured it out! The health bar and stamina bar are not affected by maingame.xml / manigame16.xml. It is part of gamedata\textures\ui\ui_actor_hint_wnd.dds.

Use AXR Toolset to unpack db/textures folder to a separate location, then locate vanilla ui_actor_hint_wnd.dds and use photo editing software (I recommend Gimp2 + DDS Plugin, it's free) to compare it to the one included in the mod.

Delete anything you don't want as part of your hud from the vanilla image, then overwrite the modded ui_actor_hint_wnd.dds with the one you edited.

This took me freaking hours to figure out lol

how do you remove the blue pda icon from the hud? and the beep that goes with it? seems good to ask in a add-on thread about the ui.

The sound you can get rid of by going to the sound portion of the pda portion in devices.itx. Should work the icons, I didn't really do, it was ProZhora so ask him.

Great mod! Its so very nice to strip away the hud without having to worry about wondering when im starving compared to when you just had to disable the hud entirely.

Ive noticed the companion list still shows up though and i cant seem to find an option to disable it, do you think you could incorporate hiding this into your mod as well?

Sorry I haven't logged into my account. Apparently the files that affect hud dont seem to affect the companion list. So, I am not sure really how to fix this. I will have to ask for help.

the companion list can be removed with "gamedata\configs\ui\ui_hud.xml" the following link is a mod that already changes that file to remove companion hud if you want to combine it:
